For our first night of our month long stay in Ireland my husband and I stayed at Crawford House. We found it nice and clean and very quiet. I wish it had been a little bit closer to city center but it was still convenient to walk everywhere.
If you are looking for the grandma and grandpa style B & B where they sit with you and drink tea, this isn't the place.

Close to Cork city center, university and many restaurants, shopping, etc. The university is just down the street & gorgeous. Best of all close to Blarney Castle. Therefore, the Blarney Castle. Ireland is filled with beautiful castles, grounds and countryside. The people are as friendly as any in the world. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable and the staff were great.

It was fine for a night and it has everything you need. However, it was very noisy even though it was a little outside the city. There's a field behind the hotel where there was a party all night long. In addition, someone tried to enter our room in the middle of the night - probably a simple drunken mistake but troublesome nonetheless.

This guesthouse is in serious need of attention. We had room 7 and the front panel of the bathtub was falling off and water went everywhere. There is no one at the front desk as you have to go to the guesthouse next door if you need help. Our room faced the main road which was so noisy with traffic all afternoon and all night. For 95 euros you can do much better than this and no breakfast is included. Would not,recommend this at all.

What a lovely b&b so close to town. Everyone was super friendly and even asked us if we wanted to take some scones for our drive back to Dublin!!! Now that is amazing customer service.
Our room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was to die for. The bathtub was humongous with great water pressure
The house is refurbished with just the right amount of new amenities and old charm.
I would highly recommend.
