My first visit to Bucharest and was keen to be in walking distance to our local office.
The service is what I loved most at this hotel. Everyone was lovely but found the service at breakfast particularly lovely! Lots of smiles and as a solo traveller I really appreciated that!
The food was also lovely. I had room service one night and it was really scrumptious! Breakfast also good - I didnât try the hot food but the cold buffet and pastries were lovely. The only thing o didnât like was the orange juice which tasted a little watery. Such a small thing though.
I had one of the standard rooms. Very clean. Everything you need and my request for a quiet room was well accommodated at the back of the building.
Only thing I didnât like was the very small bathroom. Felt a bit dated and very cramped but for two nights it was absolutely fine.
Will definitely book again next time I need to visit our office in Bucharest. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

We have been frequent visitors to the Crystal Palace, a very clean, modern hotel located within easy reach of both airports and the city centre. As ever the room was spotless but the welcome at various times less so.
Obviously staying anywhere over Christmas often causes staff problems and that appeared to be the situation when we stayed for 5 nights over Christmas. Check in on arrival was pleasant, our Junior Suite very clean and well equipped. The curtains are awful, closing them is a feat that drove us mad and the orange nets never look clean. You close one side and the other opens, it is something that needs attention! Service during our stay was hit and miss, breakfast on the 26th, 27th and 28th was provided by a smiling attentive young lady, the other two days we were attended to as and when the staff left their little meeting area located immediately to the right of the bar. In truth it does not look right for guests to have to pass by waiters, cleaners and various others who daily set up camp in what is in fact the customers lounge. You walk past feeling as if the vultures are wishing you vacate the room in order that they may go home, it is intimidating. On one evening we visited the unmanned bar in full view of the young lady on reception, she looked up, then returned her gaze to her smart phone. Stood with no service I was forced to walk over and suggest that a paying guest was probably more important than playing, texting or whatever on her phone. This should not be the type of service on offer at the Crystal regardless of the fact it is a holiday time.
It is also somewhat strange that the management/owners made no effort to greet guests who have shown loyalty over a number of years. It certainly makes a less than user friendly environment when compared to other establishments we have used on a regular basis.
All said the hotel is recommended as a good choice but maybe not one to favour during the Christmas holiday period.

Just perfect for short and long stay
We stayed 3 weeks and we felt like home
Very clean room and bathroom
Breakfast 5* and the coffee as well
The staff friendly all of them, parking private for hotel
Small market very close to the hotel
Strong WIFI

My company booked me to stay here just for one night.
Very disappointed compared to places i stayed before.
Ok itâs cheap but you get what you pay.
Internet connection did not work when we checked in and but after an hour it worked.
Old & dull rooms but clean.
Breakfast is extremely simple and choices limited.
The staff was pleasant but the hotels does need som serious upgrading.

This was our fourth visit and again we opted for the Junior Suite which is suited to two people whereas the standard room is most certainly on the small size. As ever the welcome is warm, the hotel and rooms spotlessly clean. The bathroom and the toiletries all good. Car parking is free as is the first class wifi. The bar lounge area is very much open plan offering fine seating for either adhoc business meetings or after dinner drinks. The hotel breakfast is all embracing with a good mix of buffet items both hot and cold. In reality the hotel is mainly a business location but for tourists that prefer being slightly but conveniently out of town a little is will prove an excellent choice. The taxi into town or to the International Airport is most certainly good value.
