Well maintained rooms.. homely food.. great hospitality. If any one is looking for these Challets is the place near Dandeli. I stayed with my family for a one night and 2 days package. For vegetarians this is the best place to go. Night camps, Morning walks will add extra delights to stay.

Without a doubt Dandeli Chalet is an ideal place to stay away from hustle and bustle of city lifeâ¦!!! Very friendly host by name Sudarshan combined with traditional Dakshina/Uttara Kannada style of vegetarian food is just awesome. Cottages are very well maintained with all the basic amenities. Dandeli Chalet is a great homestay and I certainly recommend this place for folks who want to spend a relaxing holiday with your family and loved ones.

Far from the madding crowd-A Quiet Serene Place

If you are one of those who want to take a quiet time out in the woods amidst lush green, this could be your place. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are well-fitted with modern fittings and the beds and linens are clean. The wooden floors add flavor to the decor. As you walk out of the cottage, there is all round greenery that soothes ones urbane nerves. Dandeli Chalet is a great homestay as far as your stay is concerned. However, if you are from North India and your pallet is not that friendly with the typical, traditional, South Indian food, you can face a little trouble. At least for me, I simply could not eat any of their food abundant with coconut. The homestay however clearly states that it would provide traditional south indian food, so I cannot complaint about it. The winter mornings with the mist is very enjoyable if you like cold. Overall, a good place to spend some time in the quiet.
Calm and serene - must visit

Amazing 3 days with Sudarshan and team. We were a family with 2 kids and stayed here for 3 days.
Rooms - 5 cottages, all alike. Great space inside the room, neat and clean, extra mattress provided which fits easily. Fittings were all upto the mark. Cottages are not very lavish but everything one would expect in a homestay was available.
Food - Heaven!! Home made and finger licking. We ate and ate and ate. Wife learnt a few local recipes and we have tried that at home too..Most of the ingredients are from their own own farm...Pakodas during evenings with tea was refreshing. We also picked up some honey and other items produced in their farm.
Sight-seeing: Sudarshan helped us with all the sightseeing, including travel directions, checking for water levels for rafting etc. water activities was done at Bison resort which was good. Do ask and go for the boating trip he arranges during the morning/evenings in the backwaters of the dam which is absolutely mesmerising and which you will not find through resorts.
Sudarshan also took us through a nature walk and a farm visit.
