the hotel was easy to find being at the services. The staff were welcoming, and friendly. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room which I was pleased and surprised to find.The room was clean and tidy. The heating system made a lot of noise if turned up fully.

Our room had an awful drain smell for the two nights we stay. Bathroom and sink disgusting. Carpet and chair stained. Won't return any time soon. Staff I could not fault but seriously the room was in serious need of some TLC. Replace the sink, upgrade the shower cubicle, clean carpets etc. Felt dirty but was attending a family matter and no time or money to change hotel or I would have.

My wife and I had two long term stays here when we were between buying our homes and Days Inn literally became our home from home and the staff became almost friends. We always found the staff friendly and helpful, the room tidy and comfortable, the wifi fast and steady and the hotel generally quiet and restful. There were a couple of times when the alarm went off in the middle of the night or there were rowdy guests but these things occasionally happen in hotels.
We found the facilities next door in the service area catered for most of our needs and if it didn't Baldock and Letchworth were only a short car ride away.
I recommend Days Inn as a comfortable venue for short and long term stays.

We only stayed for one night. We werenât too happy with our first room as it smelt of cigarette smoke. No problem we were changed to a second room but that smelt even more of cigarettes than the first. I checked the third room we were offered and that was fine. Clearly there are guests who ignore the no smoking policy but perhaps the hotel needs to think more about the role of housekeeping?
I canât fault the receptionist at all. She was very helpful and apologetic and offered a change of rooms without quibble. The room we finally ended up in was fine and of a good size and tidiness. Just a shame about the other 2!

The room was large with a comfy double bed, kettle, TV, free internet access and numerous power points for re-charging electrical items. The free newspaper and biscuits are a bonus whilst any problems/difficulties are sorted by the friendly and ever helpful staff on duty. The hotel is very near to a service station so getting to food is never a difficulty. All-in-all It was a nice and easy hassle-free two-night stay.
