We were 4 couples from Chennai, India who stayed at this resort for 2 nights in the last week of January, 2018. We had an awesome time indeed! The rooms are very comfortable with all amenities even while adhering to eco-friendly principles. Be warned that wifi is available only in certain common areas of the lodge.
The bonfire and local traditional dances organized the first night was interesting. The private boat safari offered by them to spot river dolphins was amazing! We were served hot lunch on board and had a relaxing time on the mighty Brahmaputra surrounded by spectacular scenery. The jeep and elephant safaris were both enjoyable. We spotted lots of rhinos and other wildlife but were not lucky to get a glimpse of the tiger. The one area which has room for improvement however is the quality and variety of food served.

I spent four days here with my family after a wedding in Kolkata. We were so beautifully cared for, fed and entertained! The Jeep safaris were fascinating and the guides knowledgeable and attentive. The Diphlu Lodge itself is just lovely; we could have lingered on the river bank for hours, mingling with the other guests and the delightful Mr. Roy. Thank you!

I love my wildlife and being lucky enough to be based in India most of the year, I get to spend time in its national parks. Diphlu Lodge has just made it into my top 3, not only is it exactly what a wildlife lodge should be it is the only place in the area that is an actual wildlife lodge. It is built using local architecture, is as eco friendly as it is possible to be, it is wonderfully comfortable, the staff are friendly, the service is great, the attention to detail is there, they have a fabulous location right on The Diphlu River bordering the park and not only that, they know their wildlife and how the park system works. They have excellent naturalists and know each region of the park ensuring you have the best chances of seeing what it is you came to see. Book early, pay the price, it is the best by far in the entire region of the park.

Behind a small gate with no street signage is Diphlu River Lodge. There are so many wonderful things to comment on: food, room, staff, activities, other lodge guests, safari guides and the list goes on.

Succinct details and a first class experience from the moment you arrive at reception. Had a friend who stayed at another "luxury" resort in the area and his experience pales in comparison to what you will receive here. Impressive grounds and cottages and the staff was top notch. If you can get a room, make sure you experience this lodge.
