A welcoming reception was nice when arriving near midnight after the lengthy KLM flight from Amsterdam. Rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious. Front desk personnel were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed in Dar es Salaam for 4 nights before our safari. The hotel is located a short walk from the Slipway shopping center and in light traffic its about 40 minutes from the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean (our room had a great view of the bay). The grounds here are well kept and we found the area near the pool to be a great place to relax. The outdoor buffet with live music was very enjoyable. Buffet breakfast was included in our rate and offered a good selection. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful

Got in late in the evening and the welcome was heartfelt and really nice. Quickly got my room key with an excellent view of the garden and pool area. Restaurants nearby and in the hotel have good food and a relaxing atmosphere.
The only downside is that it's quite noisy from other rooms and the corridor. If you want to sleep in, bring some earplugs....

I arrived during the rush hour traffic after a very long and chaotic journey from London and the smile which greeted me couldn't have been more welcoming. Check in was fast, efficient and informative, and I made it just in time to watch the sunset from the terrace at the back of the hotel. Pictures of the rear of the hotel don't do it any justice, it is such a lovely hotel.
I had dinner poolside as it was BBQ night and chose the prawn skewers with seasonal vegetables and chips. The prawns tasted absolutely divine, the veg was full of flavour and the texture of the fries were right up my street! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfection.
I went up to my room because I had another early flight to catch and on entering the room, I popped my head outside again to make sure I had the right room. It was HUUUGE! There wasn't a speck of dust or a single hair anywhere. It was spotless. There were two enormous beds, a big tv, a number of comfy chairs and the bathroom was also massive. The shower pressure was perfect and I was able to get the temperature just right (the bathroom amenities were great too). In bedroom, you have all the amenities you come to expect when staying at a Hilton; hairdryer, kettle and bits for that, and loads of drinks available too (including peppermint tea which is my favourite and not always provided).
On checking out at dark thirty, the receptionist was lovely and sympathetic! They arranged a taxi to collect me and take me to the airport which was charged to my room, as was the one which collected me. I left something behind in the cab and he handed it straight back to reception which again isn't something which usually happens.
All in all, a perfect stay at a perfect hotel. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel not only for it's location, but for it's staff and overall accommodations.

I had to visit Tanzania for attending an interview in a leading bank in Dar. When the fares and hotel accomodations are booked by the company, what more to ask for..we were put in this hotel and staying in a Hilton group hotel was something I was eagerly looking forward to. All the hype surrounding the name was surely met when I finally landed here. Whilst the stay was for 2 days only, the place was amazing with courteous English speaking staff and a great choice of food.
