Personally, I consider Eden Resort as the best private villa on a cliff in Santander. It has an infinity pool overlooking the bay accross Dumaguete. It has the perfect sunsets where the skies looks like itâs burning red, the staff here are very accommodating and hospitable. No walk-ins allowed, you need to book ahead. Price is pretty reasonable for its amenities and service. I would love to come back here.

This a great hotel for the location. It is a 3 star hotel, but it is clean and I is the best in the area. We had a good breakfast and the service from Susan and Kring kring made the short stay enjoyable. 10 minutes away from the Oslob whale sharks. Bring your own amenities...they only give toothpaste and toothbrush.

We were really impressed with this hotel given that most of the coastline is run down and out dated. The hotel is 15min from the whale sharks but this is seriously not an issue. You can hire a driver for USD10 return or rent a scooter for the same price.
The rooms were clean, well looked after and the view over looking the sea was world class.
In terms of the restaurant, the food was slightly over cooked but extremely taste.
The only negative thing I have to say, has no relation to the hotel. However, the trip from Cebu is far and tiring

Nice - Stayed here but mostly was out with activities. Enjoyed Sunset on balcony one evening. Balcony and View are the strengths of this property. Guarded entrance, and away from main road and associated traffic and noise. About 30 minutes from Oslob/Whale Sharks. Restaurant is convenient and starts serving at 6:30AM so you can utilize before any events for the day, they will bring to your room also, and I believe for no extra charge.

I picked up Eden Resort as our accommodation for two days of whale shark dives in Oslob, choosing it without much previous knowledge for a combination of its apparent secluded location and good price. I had no idea I was picking one of the best small hotels I´ve ever stayed! Rooms are large and very beautifully laid, with wide verandahs overlooking the strait. Their infinity pools ia a real treat, and bar & restaurant offer great drinks and fantastic food at really cheap prices. Staff is very kind and attentive; my wife had an ear pain and they volunteered to drive me for free to the nearest pharmacy (which was quite far in fact). It also has a dive shop on the premises, which offers SCUBA diving and snorkel activities around the region (very much worth doing). I hope to be back in the region in the future for more diving, and will definitely stay here again!
