Who knew this existed?

Wonderful stay at this Resort on the Sea of Galilee. Quaint cabanas on the water. Older units needed to get used to the Shower which were wee, different, tiny, hard to keep the floors dry. Nonetheless, the grounds were pleasant, staff were friendly and buffet was good. Lots of food. Good wines and affordable. Easy access to water and beach area. Charming, not elegant, would recommend. Some in my party complaint that some rooms smelt moldy. Ours did not. Overall a good stay.

Great location for touring northern Israel

The rooms are large and include a small kitchenette for self service eating. Room with tiled floor outside facing the Sea of Galilee. Breakfast included was rich and tasty. The resort is right on the beach of the Sea of Galilee making it perfect for a summer holiday.

Overpriced and deceiptful

We saw the nice photos of rooms online and when we arrived the rooms were old and tired and completely different to the photos.

After we complained and only on the second day did they offer us an 'upgrade' to the new rooms that we actually booked. We did not take up the offer as I did not want to pack up for a family of 4 for one night.

The meals are a rip off at 30usd and 20usd per adult and child.

The worst part is they could not have cared less. We were not offered anything except a belated upgrade. We deserved an apology and a discount.

Avoid this place until they learn what customer service is.

Enjoyable experience

Stayed here as part of a tour group. Some of us ended up in different types of rooms. I had a small cabin that consisted of a tiny room with 2 twin beds, a small bathroom with shower and a main room with a king bed, table, kitchenette and bench area that could double as another bed. Bed was very firm. Area was clean and well maintained. Cabins are unfortunately quite far from the restaurant and reception, but are right on the Sea of Galilee which was tremendous!

Not a place to stay

On a very special family trip we booked into Ein GeV to enjoy the region. We booked the place based on photos on the website. In reality we saw photos which did not match the poor quality and tired rooms we were provided.

For the insane price of $255USD per night we expected new rooms with space for a family of 5. What we were given were old, tired, small and average rooms. These prices compare to 4-5 star hotels. This place was at best 3 star.

The kibbutz has no facilities within any distance. The food provided through the dining room, which is really all that is available, is average to say the least and they charged us $30USD per adult and $20USD per child. Drinks are not included other than some juice and water. Every other buffet we have had in Israel includes all drinks including soft drinks.

After complaining it became evident that we had been charged for new rooms which have been recently built on the kibbutz but were placed into old rooms which are significantly lesser in quality and size. Ultimately we were ripped off with clear knowledge from management. In response to our complaints we received indifference followed by rudeness.

We do not recommend. Choose another spot in this beautiful region. Don’t get ripped off on this old and tired kibbutz.
