What People are saying

Great value, great staff, good location

Welshlily on 05/02/2017 10:45

On the outskirts of town, the Mirador is really easy to find and has plenty of parking. Reception were very friendly, escorted me to the room (which is unusual these days) and were on hand for anything - fab service.
Room was large, clean and had a lovely bathroom complete with classic Spanish tiling. There were some very slight signs of wear on the balcony railing (bit of rust) but other than than, the room was very impressive for a 3-star. Faced the road but very little noise once the windows were closed. Good heating system too. Room was well-equipped with free Wi-Fi (good signal), plenty of soaps, conditioner etc in the bathroom and a hairdryer as well.
I ate in the on-site bar/restaurant in the evening and the menu was very good, with a range of meat and fish dishes, the house red wine was lush and the service spot on. Special mention goes to Inma (I think that's her name) who was absolutely lovely and very patient with my inadequate Spanish!
Great nights sleep too.
Overall, this place is lovely - and fabulous value for money. £45 for the room, dinner and ad-hoc coffee/drinks in the afternoon. Add to that the lovely, friendly staff and you have a winner. Highly recommended and would hope to go back in future.

The Bar Restaurant

This is a local eatery for us we use this restaurant nearly 3 times a month. The service is always good with very patient staff who do their best to assist with our lack of Spanish. The value for money is also second to none. We love it and will continue to be regulars, cosy with the open fire in the winter as well.

Friendly, helpful and convenient

Our suite was very spacious with a large balcony and a great view of the hills and town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks from the bar were cheap and the food was tasty. The hotel was close to town and a good location for getting into the hills.

Good but not brilliant

KINDOFBLUEMAN on 08/04/2015 20:10

I dined at the hotel's restaurant when it first opened in 2005. It is now owned by a family. The staff during our four-night stay were very helpful, particularly as our daughter wasn't well.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable, although there was the occasional smell of drains in the bathroom, and when you ran a bath, the shower would kick in too! The bathrooms could do with having more shelves or a cabinet for storing toiletries.

Overall, it was very quiet during our stay, which probably accounted for why the front door was often locked during the day and late evening, which meant you had to enter via the bar, which was sometimes deserted.

Breakfast comprised juice, coffee, toast, butter, jam; serrano ham, cheese, pate, cakes and, if you asked for it, pureed tomato. Spread on toast with olive oil and salt, this is a traditional Andalusian breakfast.

While the main swimming pool was well maintained, the child's pool wasn't. It should be. The property could also do with a lick of paint and other maintenance.

not the best
