What People are saying

Brilliant

Brilliant hotel to spend a relaxing family holiday.
Went AI and food was great, ignore the reviews theres something for everyone my wifes a fussy eater and even she was happy.
The pools were great, staff could be a little moody at times, but in 30 degree heat i think most people would be after 9 hour shift!!

Great entertainment programme!

We stayed here in late September for 11 nights and it was a lovely break.
The room was basic but had everything we needed. We stayed all inclusive so didnt use the kitchenette facilities but if we were to plan a meal we cooked ourselves, there was no pots/pans cutlery.

The food was nice, did the job. Breakfast involved the usual variety of cheese and meats, cereals, packaged cakes/biscuits, yoghurt, toast, eggs, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hot drinks, water & juice. Lunch had everything for sandwiches, salads and various hot dishes. Tea/Dinner ribs, curry, paella, chips, salads.
There was a snack bar that was open in the day for a few hours and then at night until around 9.45pm. This place had hot dogs, nachos, sandwiches, toasties. They made sandwiches and toasties fresh.

Pool area: We didnt go out some days until 11am and we always got sunbeds however.....the hotel was no where near as full as it would have been at summer and I can imagine in the summer we would have had to have been up for 8am to get our beds. The reps provided activities all day from 11am til around 4pm, They always walked around the pool shouting out to let people know what was on next, this included cocktail making sessions, quizzes, bingo, water polo, archery, arts and crafts, face painting, football, darts. The pool was really cold but once we had been brave enough to jump in we were fine. It was the initial getting in that was the hardest part. There is a smaller shallow pool but it isnt by the sunbeds really so I ended up being over there with the little one whilst the rest of our party were sat further away. There is a pool bar which is open 12 - 5. No eating is permitted around the pool and the lifeguards are quite strict. They are also strict about whether they feel a child can swim or not and whether a child needs an adult in with them.

Evenings: The entertainment at night was great, started off with a quiz, game of bingo that involved lots of audience participation, acts included tributes of Katy Perry, Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga. There were a couple of magicians and a great Beatles themed show. The reps really went the extra mile and made sure everyone was having fun.

Extras: There is a small children's play frame, the main entertainment room has 2 pool tables, football table, dart board and air hockey. The free wifi was great by the pool although parts of the hotel room it was non existent.

The bar staff and restaurant staff are all lovely. Room is cleaned daily and towels are changed. Thomas Cook rep on site a few times a week to answer queries etc.

The nearest shop is about a 10 minute walk. Fill up on water or get a couple of bottles then fill them up from the restaurant to leave in your room for throughout the night. There is a lovely small beach about 20 minutes walk (we had kids in tow) which has a little bar and seating area. A few pedlo boats for hire etc.
Salou beach is lovely although it is a bus ride away which I think was 2.50. Salou is nice for a wander around, lots of shops.

We went to the water park in La Pineda. It was a nice place and the kids enjoyed it, there were a few scarier slides they wouldnt go on though so good for the bog kids. Life guards were posted all over the place. The food however was very expensive, they dont stop you taking your own in so fill your bag up :-)

Over all a great family holiday, I have a feeling however that I might be writing a different review if we had gone in high season. I can imagine it to be overly busy.

Would recommend

Stayed here for 10 nights back in October, we all had a great holiday. The staff were very helpful & friendly, especially the entertainment team, there was plenty for the kids to do. We would recommend here & would go back again.

precious memories

Had an absolutely lovely time here in October with Husband, daughter, partner, grandson and step granddaughter. Great from the start with check in and lovely welcome from the manager, rooms were great ours overlooked the road but got the sun till late afternoon other one had a pool view. Very spacious and spotlessly clean, could not fault them. Food was great too always something for everyone at every meal which was great for the 6 of us, the snack bar was great too and the guy on it was great with the little ones. Entertainment for the little ones was great Logan 3 and Sky-May 5 loved the kids club, Hannah, Megan, Ebony and Dan were great and made the holiday, they loved getting the certificates at the award ceremony each night, then they would go and watch a film while bingo was on, which they both really enjoyed. Adult entertainment was ok, and drinks were fine, all served in glass on a night which made a change from plastic, and never a long queue.quiz bingo then live act most nights which I think suited most people. All the staff at this hotel worked extremely hard and really made everyone welcome. Only downside is there are not many sunbeds in the sun all day but we always managed to get one when we wanted to, possibly a problem in the high season though. Great work all at Festival Village, you helped us make great memories for Logan and Sky-May Many Thanks

Lovely little hotel tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. Four of us stayed August travelled with a 16yr old and then 11yr old, we chose this hotel and paid for a second room through Thomas Cook.
We arrived on the Sunday Morning and greeted by the Manager Ivanio, e made us feel very welcome and made it welcoming being our first time staying in Spain. Now wen we went to check in only one of our rooms was assigned to us instead of two rooms, Iivanio sorted everything and said we would have to share for the first night, we were informed that the second room would be ready on the Monday morning, true to word it was.
Ok yes a 3* hotel and I have read very negative reviews on here, so here is my opinion, myself and family normally go 4*+, we could not fault Festival Village in anyway what so ever.
from time of arriving to leaving everything was perfect, warm friendly greetings by all hotel staff and manager, they could not do enough for you. There was a Thomas Cook Rep lovely lad and was always there to make sure things were ok.
Rooms yes dated but you do not go on holiday to sit in your room all day but very clean and cleaned everyday no quibbles what so ever, we had one room that over looked the pool we were on floor 4 and our other room was on the opposite side of the corridor, noise wasn't an issue during the day, or on an evening, in fact it was great to hear kids being kids and playing well together..
My Daughter se loved the pool and made new friends and se gained a lot of confidence from going into the pool on her own while I was able to sit and watch, there is is a lifeguard on duty each day, so felt safe at all times.
both the kids loved the snack bar plenty of food and drinks all day. Main restaurant they ad themed nights along with regular food on service, food was always replaced as soon as it was running out so never any need to wait on a certain thing.
Entertain was the usual but still fun to go watch Reps were great and a good laugh.
Now for a 3* all inclusive hotel we would definitely come back and stay again, reception staff are brilliant and work hard, waiting staff cleaners maintenance staff never stopped all day, they are a total credit to the hotel.
I should point out tat if you are wanting a kettle etc you do have to pay a deposit for the items but these are refundable at the end of your stay.
there is a fridge in the room which was good, as there is a supermarket a few minutes up the road so was handy to get milk and water and stuff in.
All in all one very happy family two very happy kids and two happy parents, we would be more than happy to come and stay again.
Ivanio your staff are a total credit to you and your hotel keep up the good work.
