Liked the leafy trees surrounding this motel and the fact it is a quick walk to centre of town. It is certainly an old style with drab furnishings and very tired carpet. Bathroom was Ok though and I loved all the big mirrors. It has a relaxing feel and has everything you need including large room and space for working at a desk. Cleaning was average with a need to vacuum and dust behind things, not just around them! Agree with reviewer who wrote about noise - I heard every person coming and going as doors dont block out anything really.

Well situated and comfortable. Easy distance to town and great for university visits. Good hosts and great off street parking.
Make sure you get rooms away from the road and beware noisy early risers since doors are not sound proof.

We stayed here for a week while attending a conference in Palmerston North. There was plenty of room to spread out and feel comfortable. The bed was large and comfortable. Nice to have plates, bowls and cutlery to prepare our own breakfasts. The location was quiet and secure. Only five minutes walking to the Square and about 15 minutes to the riverside and the Victoria Esplanade. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 1 night and found the rooms very clean and tidy. Everything was in good working order however just slightly dated (has an alarm clock built into the bed side table!) but beds are super comfy and was awesome to have a large spa in the bathroom!

This is an exceptionally lovely place in the sense that everything in the room is so well thought out. Although it doesn't have a kitchenette it still has plates, bowls, wine glasses you name it. Even a coffee plunger! It really makes for a very pleasant stay. The interior is possibly a little dated but all is in very good condition and very clean. The lady at reception who was minding the motel for the owners was delightful. The motel is in walking distance from the central hub of the town. Having stayed in many motels and hotels over the years this one just made the top of the list because all the extra touches and the affordability.
