Great location, good food but otherwise uninspiring ...

The rooms are small, the beds are of low quality, the noise isolation of the rooms is questionable and the bathrooms are very basic.
But the staff is friendly and the food in the restaurant is good. But the main feature of the hotel remains its location - just a stroll away from the beach!
All-in-all an uninspiring hotel good for a short break at the Dutch coast as well as for business meetings and management off-sites.
Good food, nice location for tulips, rooms need remodeling

The two dinners we had there were quite good. Located near tulip fields and keukenhof garden. Service was ok to poor, even by non-American standards. They had a list of cocktails and couldn't make anything off the list. The one they made (cosmo, from their list) wasn't done well.
Rooms were ok, but bathroom was really in need of a remodel. It looked like they put new fixtures straight onto dated, chipped tiles. Water pressure for the shower was poor.
The restaurant tho <3

Been there this year, and yes, it's probably not what I would consider a 4 star hotel, BUT! It is not as bad as some make it out to be! It is alright tbh, there are some minus points (like the shower....really, the sense of construction of it is a mystery to me), but the breakfast was alright, it is relatively close to the beach (10 minutes, if you go out of the hotel and past the restaurant on the left, past the houses you'll see on the right, just go along the street, you'll find a rather hidden path and a parking lot) THE RESTAURANT THO!!! That is smt! The chef - A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Don't waste your money on the restaurants close to the hotel, you'll be missing out on some beyond amazingly delicious food! The chef is also the reason I like the hotel and have good memories of it, but like I said, the hotel itself is alright, probably got it's stars because of the restaurant
Some good, some not-so-good

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely well located for visiting Kerkenhof gardens. Breakfast selections were extensive and well prepared.
The room, however, was problematic. When we arrived it was freezing cold and no visible way to change the temperature. Hotel staff responded to our complaint by sending a young woman who had to get down on her knees in a corner of the room to reach through a small hole and turn on a radiator valve, which she could only do using a napkin to protect herself from contact with a hot pipe. She turned it all the way up which resulted in the room being too hot to bear. My 70+ year old husband then had to repeat the process to turn it down to try to find a comfortable medium.
The room was also run down with a badly stained carpet. The bath was also quite out of date.
Love the area but I would try to find another hotel if we returned.

The hotel manager Yoss and Tijs at the bar and Jamie at reception and Evelien at reception were so welcoming and friendly, and gave us a 5 star dinner in their 4 star hotel !!!!. The truffle mushroom soup was fantastic ! Jamie printed out the directions because we rented bicycles from De Witte Raaf Hotel and cycled to Keukenhof for 8 kilometres through the beautiful tulip fields and back, for a whole day out, and took 2500 photographs !!!
The bikes were superb and we cycled effortlessly there and back, easily doing the 8km in 30 minutes, like real Dutchmen !!
The room no 150 was huge, with a seperate sitting room and seperate bathroom and seperate toilet.
We were so busy, we did not have time to walk to the beach ! Thank you Yoss ! you and your staff did the company proud . We will go again.
Thank you also to Att, the Greek taxi driver for the travel company, your 5 star Mercedes Vito van felt like a Lear jet inside, and your conversation was top class ! Thank you for stopping to let us take photos ! Thank you HOLLAND, I can see why you draw so many millions of tourists ! DANKE WEL !!! XXX Gerard & Family.
