Needed a place to stay for one night in Lisbon in advance of a day of meetings. The Fontecruz was perfect - short ride from the airport, right on Av. da Liberdade (with the Avenida metro stop right outside). My room was in the "white building" across the courtyard. Great decor, comfortable bed, big clean bathroom.
I got in late and was tired so I couldn't have a proper meal out at one of Lisbon's great restaurants - so I ate at the Small and Delicious bar at the hotel. Their burger was delicious - one of the best I've eaten, accompanied by a nice salad and a couple of glasses of wine. Great, friendly staff.
Would stay there again without question.

The property is wonderfully decorated mixing old Lisbon and new Lisbon. The staff was very helpful - especially our friend Roe in the restaurant - who took great care of us every morning at breakfast. This is one of the nicest Marriott properties I have stayed at - and I have stayed at many!

This hotel is located on the main street of Lisboa that in itself is a street to see and walk.
I would love to come back summer time to enjoy its beauty but even in February it was awashed with sun, blloming flowers on the ground, wondeful trees that look perfect even without leaves. And if you like shopping you may find tons of good stores and reastaurents right there or on a smaller streets steps away. I liked hotel itself, I do not recollect any other place with live piano music even during breakfast time. Wondeful room with three windows and a view to the main street, furnished by real artist, great poeple at the registration desk and tasty candies always right there too. And all of that just steps away from main Lisboa attarctions and the bank of the river. if I go to Lisbon again I stay in this hotel for sure!

Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Situated perfectly near all the action downtown, every detail was elegant. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms large (excellent shower with instant hot water), art in the hallways and décor in lobby was tasteful and interesting, and a fine breakfast buffet (I love me some avocado toast). Best of all were the helpful and pleasant staff. Quick with a recommendation or smile. Well done...stay here.

We had a wonderful, too short, pre-cruise stay at the Fontecruz Lisboa. The location was perfect for our needs, able to walk to many places, including sights, shops, restaurants, & gelato! The room was large and beautiful, and spotless, the front desk staff very helpful and recommended restaurants for dinner. The only change I would suggest would be to offer a more reasonably priced breakfast. We did find breakfast places nearby. I would (and have) recommended the hotel and would return on future trips to Lisbon.
