This is my 2 stay on Gen X Banjara hotel as business trip my stay was excellent & food & amenities good.Hotel staff good service & helpful.all tourist places are nearby the hotel.in this hotel area no policution.room also Very spacious & clean

Nothing is as advertised. There is no 24 hour room service. As a matter of fact there is limited food service. No food at all served between 330p-730p, or after 1030p. I was In Hyderabad for medical treatment and specifically chose this hotel for its location in Banjara Hills and it's 24 hour room service. Some days I wasn't back in the hotel till after midnight. After not having eaten since 2 or 3pm, I needed food. I was informed the kitchen was closed. Some dsys I could adjust my appointments, others it just wasnt possible. I believed what was advertised. 24hr room service.
Let's talk about the food. Many items on the menu were not available. If you had a sandwich which included fries and they didn't have fries, you got charged for the fries anyway. If they didn't want to make only one serving of an item, they tell you it's not available. On one occasion I went up to find two guests eating what I just tried to order. Their Indian food was excellent, their other dishes, not so much. The breakfast potatoes were not cooked. They needed to boil them first and then fry and season them.
The restaurant tables were not clean. For days the tables were not wiped down and there were crumbs and odd small pieces of food on the table. I had to ask. The placemats needed to be washed. The silverware wasn't clean. Sometimes the staff was very nice, polite and helpful. Other times the did really rude invasive behaviors. Like coming into my room to clean without knocking first. Or when I got room service they would knock and just come barging in. I kept my door locked. I like to pay cash for my meals. That seemed to be a real problem. They wouldn't give me a receipt and refused to mark it paid. This is sooooo NOT a location for a solo traveler or woman. The road is about 3 blocks from the main road, but it is dark and VERY isolated at night. So it's challenging if you want to go out after dark. Taxi drivers don't know where this place is either, so that source of getting around is challenging. I can't change hotels. No no refunds or cancellations after you check in. I can understand, one night here and you won't want to stay. The rooms are dark, dank and dusty. I watched them clean one day. They NEVER dusted or wiped anything down. There were no bedside lamps to read by. Only wall sconces where the light pointed upwards. Forget about reading at night. The bathrooms however were clean and immaculate. No wash clothes provided, (I brought my own sponge, thank God) and the towels were rough, dirty looking and had seen better days. Oh, one good thing, the people at reception were very kind, polite and helpful. I will be back in India in 6 months. Even if it we FREE I won't stay here again. I've learned my lesson book only 2 nights to make sure the hotel is good.

we stayed here for 1 day , 28 dec 2017 with family. good hotel . good breakfast . free wifi . clean room. parking available for 4 cars and some bikes . If it is Full, you have to park outside , in road , near to hotel.

I have stayed at other properties of genx 1589 chain and this one is below par (as a 3 star hotel). Location of the hotel can be difficult but google map takes you there so that was not a worry. The hotel is situated in Banjara Hills and with basic requirements available near by. The rooms are decent in size and spacious for two adult and one kid below 7. However the rooms lack basic facilities expected in a 3 star property. Like our room did not have a hot water kettle, towels, shampoo etc. these were later provided when requested. The breakfast was a big disappointment as most of the times things were not available (at 8:30 am), the worst was last day when we were told there is no butter for the toasts. I totally understand that the supply chain can sometimes mess up with ordering stuff but a basic thing like butter is just 5 mins away from the hotel to order. Plates and spoons were not the cleanest. There will be 5-6 items in the breakfast of which 3 will be common daily. We had idli and poori sabzi for 3 days. They need to scale up their food quality and variety. Service was decent and responsive. Overall as a 3 star property it was below par but the prices are really cheap and if you are ok with a 2 star property this is not a really bad option considering the low charges.

Hotel is conveniently located in the business district of Hyderabad and the nearby areas have various shopping malls and all the locale flavours. I really enjoyed the rooms, as the view was good and the food was good too, but slightly lesser options for north Indians. Approach road to the hotel is slightly narrow, rest its an amazing hotel to stay at. Staff is friendly too.
