Great hostel to stay with your friends. Everything is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very close and friendly. Its location is good, you can go wherever by walk, Temple Bar is 15 minutes by walk. The hostel has a pub inside. The only thing I missed was a place to cook.

For the price it was fine.
I only wish there were coat hooks, nicer smelling bathrooms and in a better area.
Did love the ATM access and fun at the bar.
Reception was great as well! Everyone was lovely

Perfect place for the rest of impenitent travelers. The common areas are spectacular. The pleasant atmosphere Only for people with high doses of relationship and empathy. Attentive reception. Clean and organized. Central.

Stayed for one night on a Saturday, in a 6 bed female room.
Was able to store my bag there as arrived before check in. Staff without exception were polite and courteous and were able to offer advice about how to get to places etc. Free maps were avaliable in reception.
Room was clean and warm and the one I booked had en suite bathroom that seemed to gave plenty of hot water and shower had good pressure.
Bed was comfortable with all linen supplied and had plug socket and own light. Pull out drawer under bed had ample room for storage.
Would definitely use this hostel again!

I was traveling with my sister. We booked a private room for 2.
We have been very disappointed by the generator Hostel Dublin. The location is good but that is about it.
The staff was rude, unfriendly, uninterested and not helpful at all!
The price I paid for the double room is absolutely crazy, I didn't expect a luxurous room or anything but the room was so poor, there was not even a small bedtable or light, also in the bathroom there was nothing to put your stuff on or in, we got one lazy towel and nothing for the ground. The shower kept going from cold to hot.
We got the wrong breakfast at the check -in. We were promised a full irish breakfast instead we got the continental one. Also we came 10 minutes before breakfast ends, (which is normal I think) and we immediatly got told to come earlier next time. WHY?
After the breakfast we wanted to skip the next one so I asked for a refund at the reception. The guy there wouldn't even look at me and told us a refund is not possible. (again, WHY?) and we did get the wrong breakfast, so he gave us a the good one for the next day. No apologie, smile or any extra was offered.
The beds in the rooms are also aweful, they are so hard and so are the pillows. Drama to actually sleep, besides that the curtain-things in front of the window looked like someone hung in them.
Anyhow, are overall experience was not very good. Mostly because of what I paid for 2 lousy nights and a horrible staff that has not any passion for what they are doing. Shame! Because this hostel seems so good from the outside. I would still like a refund, but I guess this is not possible as not anything was.
