Godâs own Country Resort was the first place I arrived to in Kerala - and a great place to start your journey. The staff is lovely and very helpful whatever youâre issues are. The room was well equipped, clean and quite big. The pool was also kept clean and at a good fresh temperature! Yoga is available on demand - nearby there are other places offering yoga and maditation too, so thereâs a choice. Youâll also find a very nice restaurant with an excellent reputation on the premises. Try the fish - if you may :-)
average hotel take only if you have no other options

Kovalm is world famous beach .But this hotel is far from Kovalam it is in different village only . First they gave us special room with cottage but there were lizards in the room and there was no water in room so we got another small room which is strictly ok .Cleanness is ok not as per international standard there were hardly and guest apart from high tourist season . The food quality is not at all good with no variey , We have skipped the breakfast and dinner dude to bad quality. It has Ayurveda treatment facility but don think of try . Its has swimming pool the structure is unique . i suggest not to take the hotel as not as per the standard of four start.
great experience

Just returned after spending 5 nights during peak season. Stay was decent and value for money. The staff is very courteous and caring. We enjoyed our stay and their swimming pool was of high standard though at few locations the tiny blocks of tiles was peeled. The service was slow but is ok as we had a relaxed stay. Few areas they could be better is with lighting, water pressure in the bath tub, provide kettle in rooms ( we had refrigerator in the room but no kettle or hair dryer), better quality toiletries, etc. The room was spacious with sitout with 3 chairs and provision to have candle light dinner.
Our stay was made memorable by the Ayurvedic lunches we had at the picture perfect resorts (see attached picture) nearby on the beach. Though they cater to their guests generally but did allow us not only have lunch but also spend some time in the resort and take few pics. The buffet lunch was reasonably priced (Rs 800-1000 ). We had lunch on 3 days at Somatheeran and Manaltheeran resorts on the beach.
Unlike the Kovalam/ Light house beach, Chowara is less crowded. Also, the sea seem to be much blue and cleaner. Loved the swim we had on this beach.
Pleasant, good value for money, very friendly service, attentive

Attractive looking resort. Stayed in the "traditional bungalows" which are a little dark, but spacious with bathroom and dressing area. We initially had some problems with lights and switches which they attended to immediately. At our request brought tea to the room. Food - breakfasts adequate but unvarying. Other food average and average price. Free Ayurvedic consultation available.
Outdoor pool
Very popular with local Indian tourists who come by busload for a month for Ayurvedic therapy.
