Hugely lovely team in all areas of the hotel. Nicely laid out and clean rooms. Food nice and attentive team. Only issue we have is our room smelled of cigarette smoke...people still try to cheat and smoke out of windows. Makes the room fusty!.

A lovely hotel, very friendly very clean, onsite bar and restaurant with fabulous food and atmosphere. Also spa/ gym on site and a buffet restaurant next door, close to town and on public transport routes.

Great hotel in a good location with spacious rooms. Parking is busy but i beleive this is due to restaurant patrons.
Beds and the bathrooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
We were a party of 20 people including children and we were able to book multiple quad rooms which were brilliant. Worth the extra euros.

We visited friends in Alkmaar and stayed in Golden Tulip. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. For a short stay and stop over this hotel was fine.

The hotel is located a little bit outside the city center, but can be reached easily e.g. by taxi in 10 minutes from Alkmaar Station.
The building, entrance area and rooms are from earlier times, but all areas have been renovated or updated with modern items.
The room (superior) was large, clean and comfortable; Wifi works good and is for free. Bathroom is also not very modern, but large and as well comfortable.
The restaurant and breakfast area are both fine, good food, breakfast is rather standard.
Prices are ok, rather high, but overall it was very comfortable stay in the Golden Tulip.
