Food was on point, service was excellent. Waow. Loved my time there. The guests from other East African countries gave us good reviews. Will be back again and again. Thank you to the outstanding team for nurturing us during our three day conference

I have been a couple of time to the Golden Tulip for business and I find a comfortable place and high standard services. I then decided to be back there to spend my free Sunday and ... wow! The swimming pool is breathtaking, is it not a crowded place and above all there are not kids running everywhere. I know this would be bad for families, but it is a main point for couples or business persons whom are sick for a day at leisure. A nice note with regards to drinks selection, nice food and quiet rooms.

We stayed at the Golden Tulip 3 different times during a recent trip to Tanzania. The Golden Tulip is past itâs prime, but it is clinging to former glory by running various events. If you are a traveler, this means you can expect loud music and revelry that last until 5am if youâre staying with them on certain weekends. New Years Eve was a perfect example, when there were a bank of speakers placed below our balcony that played thudding bass until 5am - which I know because the DJ was lamenting that the party was over and mentioned the time quite a bit. The music in our room was deafening.
The facility is worn, but serviceable. The rooms are clean, most of the staff is friendly, and they included a breakfast buffet that was quite nice.
We did check in one night to find there was no cold water. The issue was resolved, but only after several calls and a visit to the front desk. These kind of issues are not uncommon in Tanzania, and this isnât the kind of facility that has infrastructure that protects it from outside failures. It could have been handled better by the staff, who first said it was a problem with the room, then admitted the entire building was having the issue due to some maintenance issue and then actually took care of the problem. It would have been much easier if theyâre attitude was more forthcoming.
The Golden Tulip is a decent facility, and if youâre accepting of life in Tanzania, youâll find it a reasonable accommodation.

The friendly, helpful staff is a great feature of this hotel. Views from the garden towards the sea at the entry to Dar es Salaam ports are stunning. Great breakfast. All in all a good choice. xxxxxx
The friendly, helpful staff was one of the best features of this hotel. The room was clean and light, with a comfortable bed, and great view of the sea across the attractive garden. Although the location was a little outside the centre of Dar, the beachside location at the entrance to Dar es Salaam port and estuary, made up for this. Traffic could be a problem, but only as one got close to the city centre. Good conference facilities, with everything needed to host a medium-size event. Free, unlimited WiFi, with reasonable bandwidth was available in both bedroom and public areas.
As a hotel used for events, it could be noisy in the evenings, but this never went on beyond midnight, and was only occasionally a problem.

the location is good, in Masaki, the pool is nice but the rest is not nice,,
rooms are old and not well equiped. The service is slow,,, even for tanzania...
i stayed 2 times 1 night but i wont go back there.
Outside is nice.
but no worth stay there.
