Although the hotel isn't centrally located in the city of Tashkent this shouldnât deter travellers from choosing the hotel owing to the abundance of cheap and reliable taxis. The charm of this hotel is that it isnât overloaded with Western guests and itâs interesting to rub shoulders with guests from other parts of the country and Asia. Staff are pleasant, willing and amiable and choice at breakfast is wide and plentiful. The downside is the poor internet connection. There's a disco/club not from the hotel, but the pop music (when I stayed)generally ceased around 10.30/11pm so it wasnât a nuisance. Good standard of cleanliness and comfortable bed.If youâre on a budget this hotel gives value for money and wonât break the bank.

Avoid this place like the plague. It is a dreadful hotel, gloomy, rooms with air conditioning not working, fridges not working, door lock replaced with an impossible to use key. Breakfast abysmal, constantly running out of coffee and clueless staff,. The bar in Reception is a sad and dismal place but that's OK because it is NEVER open. The location is out of the way, too so there are absolutely no reasons for you to visit it. I was booked in on a tour hence the repeat visits otherwise I would not have gone back.

This hotel is convenient for the airport, so if you're doing an overnight stop after arriving in Tashkent and then taking an internal flight out the next day it would be fine. For longer stats it's really too far out of the centre and nowhere near a metro station, so sightseers will need to use cabs. The rooms are comfortable but dated, and the beds are firm (but not as hard as some I've experienced in Uzbekistan!). Breakfast was varied and plentiful, although the area and adjacent bar were somewhat lacking in charm.
Pleasant and helpful staff make up for this to an extent.
I would go back, but only if I needed an overnight stay between flights.

This hotel is large and soulless. Stayed here at the beginning and end of a "Silk Road" tour and gave to say this was the worst of the hotels we stayed in. Rooms were okay- very large ( I had a suite at the beginning of the tour) but decor in some rooms dark and depressing.
Breakfast was poor to adequate.
Staff were okay and as helpful,as needed, but the big downside of this hotel is it's remote location- at least 2km from the nearest metro and not near anywhere ( not even local shops of any note).
On the plus side there is a large indoor pool in the basement for a good swim ( after all if you gave spare time here there is little else to do!)

We stayed for one night at the beginning of a tour. The room was fairly spacious and clean; the beds firm but relatively comfortable. Only cups provided for 'tea/coffee making facilities', no kettle, no tea or coffee. Small bottles of water in room. Aircon OK but very noisy and would struggle in summer. Bathroom poor - shower head broken, bracket also broken so had to be hand-held, no shower gel only small soaps and shampoo. Breakfast merely adequate - most of the staff seemed to be busy making toast for the packed lunch. Rather dated all round but OK for a night.
