Willum the duty manager was welcoming and efficient. Our room was clean comfy well equipped and SO convenient for the city centre. A boutique hotel in the centre of the city at a reasonable price? Yes please. Weâll be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gourmet Stay. It is on a quiet side street, close to everything, and was quite comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyed by all. It was an easy walk to the CBD, to the waterfront, to Victoria Lookout, to restaurants, et al. If we return to Wellington, Gourmet Stay would be the first place we'd check for availability! Well done!

Nice, comfortable room. Room for two and baggage. Comfortable bed. Shared bath with one other room. Basic bath. Very friendly staff-Lynda was great! Good coffee. Continental breakfast looked yummy but I had plans elsewhere. Loved the blackboard with all of the restaurant recommendations. Plenty of street parking on quiet street. Free between 1800 and 0800. Car park too. Great value-would stay again.

Stayed here for two nights and had breakfast included in one of the nights as we had to leave too early the next morning for brekkie although she was willing to accommodate our needs.
The room was quiet, bed comfy and had a small fridge, a fan and the bathroom across the hall. It was a shared bathroom and if the place was full, we would have only had to share with two other rooms. There was nobody else there the first night and a small family on the second. Only once did I have to wait to use the bathroom.
Breakfast was very plentiful with a lot of yummy options including toast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt and home made scones.
We walked to town easily as the location was very convenient. Definitely would recommend this place to anybody in the future.

The service was friendly and helpful! I appreciated their help getting me settled into Wellington. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious and the location made it easy to explore the area.
