This is our second visit to this hotel. The first was in the summer months and the recent just now over Christmas. We stayed at the hotel so we could be near family who live in Benhavis village. It didn't disappoint us even though it was in the winter months. Our room was very large and very clean. Towels and bedding were changed regular. Cooked breakfast,continental, fruit, yogurt, pastries always something to please everyone.Lovely walks from the hotel, but the walk up to the village is very steep. There are very nice restaurants to eat in the village, and are very busy in the summer months, so it is advisable to book. Would recommend this hotel, and we will be back.

Trivago, Booking.com and Expedia are all guilty I'm afraid of rather misrepresenting this hotel on their respective websites. Still showing sunbeds and swimming pools and with no word of warning that the pools might be closed and the sunbeds all tucked away for the winter, the very friendly and supportive staff resurrected a half-dozen from the store and moved a line of tape on the grass to ensure we could enjoy what are a few unseasonably warm rays of sunshine.
As to the hotel? Well, I've mentioned the pleasant and efficient staff, and this large but at this time of year empty-ish hotel is well situated in Benahavis at the foot of the hill adjacent to a school. Your cardiologist would be truly thrilled if you stayed here, such is the level of exercise to access the town. We didn't take dinner at the hotel given the foodie nature of Benahavis with its array of (mostly open) restaurants, and the breakfast was adequate. Parking was free for us and the other two in the carpark.
To sum up, probably heavingly busy in the spring and summer, less so in November. But if you want a very quiet break in a pleasant CdeS village setting then this hotel with its relatively modest pricing structure could feature on your shopping list of places to stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights while we were attending a wedding, not in the hotel.
The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good too.
My only disappointment was that Iâd booked 2 superior rooms. One room was upgraded to a suite, but our room was in the older part of the hotel. If you step outside the front door, you have a swimming pool. This wasnât a problem for us, but if youâre looking for a view, then open the bathroom door and you overlook the car park, so our room definitely wasnât a superior room. You could say that I should have complained, but was only there for 4 nights, so didnât bother, but the rest of the group definitely had better rooms than us.

My Husband and myself have recently returned from a week at this lovely hotel.
Upon arrival I was breath taken by the beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel and the peaceful atmosphere it created. Our room was absolutely spotless and really large with clean towels and bedding on a regular basis. We stayed on half board basis which suited us fine. The first 4 evenings were buffet style and unfortunately a little luke warm for me as I like my food hot but the last 3 evenings were waitor service in the a la carte restaurant and very nice indeed with hot meals. The service we received was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The only negative thing about this hotel was the breakfast as it was always left standing and quite cold and nothing is worse than a cold cooked breakfast so I tended to avoid most of it. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily go there again. Also the next time we would hire a car as it really needs that as taxis are expensive.

We stayed for a week at the Gran Hotel in September on a half board basis. We found the hotel to be excellent. Our room was very good size and overlooked the courtyard. There was a good choice of food for both breakfast and our evening meal..
The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
We loved the town of Benahavis, it is really quiet and relaxing although beware as the town is in the hills, it is a relatively steep walk from the hotel to the town.
