This hotel so old building and furniture, need improvement. The pool so little, when i want to swim there but many kids were swimming. So i couldnt swim at that time... breakfast was just so so...the room was no big enough.

The room rate is a good price for the room size and type of hotel. I must say though that the hotel is just average. The rooms and facilities are quite dated. There was mould growing in the shower door tracks and small bugs could be seen in the room. The shower head and water pressure are of a poor standard and I don't understand the broken phone and radio attached to the toilet roll holder. Hand towels are not provided and the daily room service is minimalistic at best. The bed is just re-made - sheets are not changed and the carpet is not vacuumed. Staff did not stand out as congenial, just doing their job without any extra effort. My advice is to pay a little extra for somewhere else. You do need a bit of luxury after a day battling Jakarta's traffic and heat and unfortunately The Grand Cemara doesn't provide it.

The Grand Cemara Hotel has an ideal location in Menteng near restaurants and within walking distance of the first iconic department store -- Sarinah -- Monas, and the National Museum (about 30 minutes). The buffet breakfast is adequate, the price is right, and the rooms are fairly large, but shabby in the lobby wing (missing sink stopper and few outlets). Although the rooftop pool with sweeping city views and local flowering plants is an oasis, the hallway leading to it is lined with unused and broken furniture. As the hotel was fully booked for the weekend special when we stayed at the end of July, the service was quite spotty as was the wifi that didn't work in the room during our first night..

With that not so expensive price you'll get a cozy room, nice rooftop pool, delicious buffet breakfast with variety menu. Strategic place to get access to other place in central jakarta. We enjoy to be here. Thanks!

Very quick check in process though i was only transfered from one of thier sister company hotel. Room looks old but clean and with ammenities. Not bad from upgrade. Good internet service though tele reception was poor or limited. Bed was a bit old but still comfy. Good breakfast.
