I keep on visiting Jabalpur and stay in Narmada Jacksons Only. This is nearest hotel from airport and railway station. Has good wifi free of charge, lavish breakfast. Humble staff, clean surroundings.
âBest in townâ

Great hotel experience and excellent service in an hotel with old colonial style. Excellent restaurant and a nice gym and pool. We got a clean room with jet tub, balcony and pool view. Historical environment but you see signs that it has been a while since the last refurbishment.

Is it too hard to clean the floors?

Stayed here on two different occasions recently on our way to and from Kanha Wildlife reserve.
To make it clear thereâs not much choice for hotels in Jabalpur, so really Narmada is the only decent choice. The prices are definitely on the high side.
The first time we arrived we had just the normal room booked. We were âupgradedâ to a renovated room on the 5th floor? Upon entering the room it didnât look too bad but definitely small. After a 26 hour train ride from hell I wanted to shower immediately. I proceeded to shower and put on some clean clothes and socks. Immediately I could feel my feet sticking to the ground. I looked at my former clean socks I just put on and they were black with filth. I took a rag I had as provided in the picture and it instantly turned black as I tried to clean the disgusting floor myself. This room is 150sq ft it would take two minutes to wash the floor with a mop. Im not sure if the hotel is uneducated in the field of hygiene and disease or just lazy. I see on trip advisor this issues was also brought up in the past Jan 1 2017 I believe and they claim they would correct it. Obviously not. If you havenât been to Jabalpur the outside streets are filled with filth and disease. I saw a rotting dead dog a couple blocks away on a walking path, cow manure, piles of garbage etc... this gets on peopleâs shoes and it ends up on your hotel room floor. Failure to provide your guest with a clean floor in this type of environment with the money you charge is completely unacceptable and deserves public shaming on the internet. Itâs not my job to wash the floor or call you to do it! Obviously no concern for the health of the guests!
The second time we arrived I had a luxury suite booked. Same thing filthy floors!!! Maybe look up typhoid on the internet!
The luxury room was better and bigger size but also more expensive. I would recommend picking that one if you have to stay in Jabalpur. It also has a fridge to keep drinks cold. The hotel also seems to hold many conferences that like to play extremely loud music late at night to keep the whole hotel up. The luxury rooms provide you some protection from the noise. The basic rooms on the 5th floor are the worst. Our first stay there was some crappy band playing so loud it was like they were in your room. Thankfully it ended at 9:30pm. When we stayed in the luxury room there was a wedding reception blasting music until 11:30, but couldnât hear it too much.
The buffet breakfast is mediocre at best. Pretty basic with a few choices.
The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and nice. The one actual star of the hotel that gives it some hope.
If you have to stay in Jabalpur this is probably the best choice, but bring lots of
Lysol wipes and be prepared to wash the floors yourself.
Iâm not going to waste anymore time on this review and never plan on going to Jabalpur again.I hoped for a lot more from this hotel with the prices they charge but itâs at least an escape from what was outside the hotel if you donât count the floor in the room.
