We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The service began before we even began, as we needed bus tickets and couldn't purchase them online. I contacted the concierge, and they provided schedules and rates, and then were willing to make the reservations for us. Awesome!
Upon arrival, we were given a room on the top floor with views of the city. The room was a little tight, but not much more than other hotel rooms in Japan. The bathroom was very nice and spacious, and I enjoyed the no-fog mirror. However, the executive lounge was a bit of a disappointment. Food options were a bit limited, and it was absolutely swarming with people during our entire stay.
As for the location, it worked great for us. Another reviewer said it was very close to Hakata station, but it's a little bit of a hike to get there (cab was relatively cheap). But it was walking distance to several shrines and temples, and connected to Canal City shopping complex. We ate at Canal City several times and had some excellent meals (especially at Ramen Stadium).
All in all, we were satisfied with our stay and would return.

I stayed in the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka for a few nights recently and found the property to be well kept, nicely appointed, and in a convenient for a traveler looking to walk to places to shop, eat, and kill off some time.
This was a business trip for me so I appreciated the city center feel for the area and the quick hop to the airport. Didnât love the breakfast option on the property but thatâs a small quibble. Property has been refurbished and looks nice but the bones are older so the elevators are slow, rooms are smaller, and the ceilings are low. Fine for a business trip but would look at other options for a vacation.

It's a nice, very clean hotel. Rooms are spacey and nicely designed.
And then the bathroom. Never seen anything like this. The tub is big, the shower is innovative, the sink is glass, all together: just beautiful.
Western style breakfast is on the first floor, Japanese style breakfast is on the 5th floor and, oops, no coffee there.

The hotel is located very close to Hakata train station and the airport and within walking distance from the Tenjin. It is located inside Canal City mall, where you can find casual and elegant stores, cinema and food, and see street performances and water shows regularly.
The hotel is super clean, rooms are more spacious than usual for same standards in Japan, and staff is always ready to help. Breakfast is very good too.
Price is excellent, compared to Tokyo, and cost benefit is better than its counterpart Hyatt Regency, that I have stayed in a previous opportunity.

My family wanna to have dinner in the steak house.
we arrived at 6pm but we are requested to return the table at 7pm
that is a steakhouse but not a fastfood store actually.
our coat are not put in cloak room but just put behind the frontdesk. it is very irrespective.
besides, when we request for late check-out, the frontdesk is only reply "No" without any alternative or suggestion. we are very frustrated.
