Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta on business trip and liked it quite a bit. The food was great, staff very helpful and location probably the best in Jakarta. My only complaint is that the room had a very strong musty smell.

My husband and I stayed here for a business trip. The entrance is grand indeed. The front office 'had to do' her job and I don't feel that warm 'grand' welcome as she was not smiling at all!
Our Room
Our host booked us to a Grand King room which is large enough for a 'standard' room, the downside was, breakfast is not included. The bed is good with 4 pillows, soft to hard. On the low note, my phone dropped on the bedside, I happen to turn on the night light to find it and there I could see the dusts, cobwebs on the wall and fallen hairs on the carpet. I maybe a little bit particular but it's because I have allergies to dusts.
Clean bathroom with separate tub and shower. Ample amount of towels and bath amenities and if you happen to forget some things, you can just ask from the housekeeping. I loved their mirrored walls too!
There's a good working desk with two chairs so we could work together. There are 3 electrical sockets on the side which you don't need an adapter in case you forgot to bring one. There's also a chair with side table which is comfy for reading.
Maybe I expected too much because this is "The Hyatt' but they offer instant coffee (not so good) on their snack bar instead of a coffee machine & Dilmah for tea (which is good). Because we don't have breakfast, good thing they have provided fruits everyday but no knife or spoon for the fruits ... Well, this is standard room.
The Location
I think this is the plus because at the lobby you will find a pathway to Plaza Indonesia which is very convenient for shopping and eating. It's also good to experience their 'no-car Sundays', so we went out and enjoyed walking at the round about.
Will I stay again? Maybe, if you're here for a business trip and not staying in the room longer and leave early anyways (no time for breakfast), then consider this.

I have been staying at this hotel for more than 10 years and I have never been disappointed. The warmth of the staff, the service quality is excellent and the management , particularly the front desk managers are so capable and helpful.

Context:
We are staying for 3 nights on points. We booked 2 rooms - 1 Club room for us, and 1 Suite for my parents, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Rooms:
Club room - very large, and well equipped. Marble bath, big bed, view of Selamat Datang square. The bathroom does start showing its age, but it is well maintained, clean and more than adequate.
Executive lounge:
Very nice. Dish selection is good, with very attentive staff.
Breakfast:
As Club level and Suite guests, we were granted breakfast privilege at the Grand Cafe. Selection is more than ample, and very attentive wait staff.
Staff:
Really shines, probably among the best among Hyatts that we stayed at (and we stayed at at least 2 Park Hyatts). The concierge, lounge staff, house keeping, pool and spa attendants, all are very welcoming, very helpful and have genuine attitude to help. There is a make shift cookie counter next to the lobby where we bought some treats and she is also very helpful.
Dining:
We ate at C's twice - and ordered the wagyu Tomahawk (twice!). That dish should be the signature dish! It is expensive, but it is very high quality.
Facilities:
We only use the swimming pool, not the gym. The pool is large set on an outdoor terrace. Very clean and well maintained.
Location:
Connected to Plaza Indonesia - which is one of Jakarta's top shopping destination. Across the street is Grand Indonesia which is the other Jakarta's top shopping destination. It is a shopping paradise needless to say! Lots of dining options inside the mall.
Intangibles:
The hotel presented a complimentary Tiramisu cake to my parents - bonus points! During our stay - the hotel also has a Christmas market in the lobby and the lobby is decorated to the nines with Christmas decorations.
Summary:
It is a very pleasant stay and we are glad with the attention that the staff has given to my parents. We are loyal Hyatt customers. and Grand Hyatt Jakarta definitely is one of the better ones. Jakarta's high end hotel market is quite competitive and my parents just stayed at Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan and they would prefer to come back to the Grand Hyatt even though Ritz is much newer. The staff - they said - made all the difference.

Have be in many hyatt this one is very outdated. bathroom mouldy and smelly floor covering .

forgot my parfum iâve contacted tehran to check if they found it ... guess Nope very very sad that this things happens in a 5 star
