Firstly Iâd like to say that whilst the hotel does need updating everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The staff were always on hand to help with a happy smile and positive attitude.
Oman is a beautiful country with amazing beaches, clean streets, and well worth a visit before it becomes another Dubai... itâs very expensive but thatâs down to the exchange rates £14.00 for a coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby is extreme... We did have supper in The Tuscany one night. It was very expensive and not very good. My husbandâs pasta was inedible. They did not offer an alternative however brought us a selection of deserts as an apology. These however had been sitting on the plate and again weâre very inedible.
I suggest you upgrade to a club room so you can have breakfast, afternoon tea and coffee plus drinks and snacks in the evening all included in a quite relaxed environment. The staff in there are a joy to see every night and can make a mean G&T.
We stayed 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute apart from the last night. On our penultimate night there was a corporate do with a band. It was quite quite and finished at 10.00. However.... on our last night there was a live band giving a very loud âpop concertâ. Yes, as guests, we were invited. It didnât end till 11.00 and was so loud... I donât think that a hotel should hold a pop concert - concerts should be in arenas and to be told about it a few hours before it stated did not give us time to go out and get away from the racket.

friendly staff Gr8 location and loved sleeping with the sound of waves - but coming here after 10y saw the facilities are in serious need of renovation as charges have not dropped so the hotel should be keeping up as well

The facility location is excellent, the executive suites are big, well furnished, and luxurious.. the restaurant is small comparing to the hotel size... the breakfast is generally good... the hotel needs some modern touches... the staff are compensating the missings by kindness and helpful manner...
Staying in Grand Hyatt Muscat is repeatable...

This is a true resort hotel, and you feel a quite removed from the city hustle. Of course it has a good pool area, and the beach is right outside, past security. The beach is clean, safe and good for walking. The lobby and public areas are definitely over the top, but in a good way⦠unique and different. That said, the rooms are rather average. Certainly not bad, but not as grand as your initial impressions of the hotel. I had club lounge access, which provided breakfast, snacks, and evening food and drinks, and the best part is sitting on its rooftop deck in the evening overlooking the lights of the city. The selections in the lounge at all times of the day were good, and the attendants were always friendly. Actually, everyone at the hotel was friendly, helpful and polite. Because I was in part there for tourism, the hotel arranged a tour to the mountains. It was one of the better tours I had, so I appreciate the quality of the hotelâs choice of tour providers. Thank you for a nice stay.

I spent 3 nights for vacations after having business in Dubai.
I booked at the club floor for its better rooms and amenities. It usualy works but not in this hotel. i asked for quiet rooms and with sea view since the hotel looks at the sea.
Instead of this, we got rooms that were on the way to the business lougue and overlooking the hotel park way, that both created noise. When i asked for a change the Ouzbeki receptionist told me that they had music events all these days and our room would be better. This was a 100% false information and a lie, since only at the night we checked in, there was a music event that finished early .In adittion, the breakfast in the club area was poor, and the veranda was looking at the back of the hotel!
The hotel is nice with restaurants and bars-pubs, at a nice area.Provided i had given better rooms i would stay again
