This hotel is far from 4 star standard, outdated and dirty.
Location, is the main selling point as it is located in the city and near the airport, only 5 mins taxi ride.
Room is so huge, a bit outdated and the only chanel that i could understand is BBC world.
Wifi connection is a big issue, as connection was realllyyyyyy slow and most of the time disconnected after only several minutes.
Staff, however trying their best to keep yourself comfortable, thats another plus point.

This hotel has two upsides: its location between the airport and the city centre, and the swimming pool area. Having said this, the place urgently needs a renovation: the overall look is not inviting and in the room the wall-to-wall carpeting was dirty and stained. The borders around the bathtub were stained with mould. Breakfeast was minimal in an unpleasant restaurant next to the lobby. We stayed an afternoon at the swimming pool and had three beers; I asked for local beer but they could only offer Corona. When checking out I was charged 45 USD for the beers, and it took the intervention of a manager to allow payment by Mastercard.

The rooms are big,beds comfortable, but the bath is too high for old and disable people. They only provide shampoo and conditioner, but no body wash.The wifi connection is very poor. It is only at reception area where it is sometimes available.
They do not have any tea-coffee making facility in the room.
Staff are not fluent in English,but they are polite and triy hard to serve the customers.

Hotel was well located and promised much including a pool, however they closed the pool to enable them to plan an evening even and they closed the restaurants for the same evening event - not great however probably did us a favour as it was rather expensive. At breakfast we have to get our own coffee as service was so slow. Room clean, nice bathroom.

I so enjoyed my stay at Grand Mir Hotel on two occasions. Great location within the embassy district and overlooking a roundabout but so quiet and relaxing. The huge seating area on entry is superb, well furnished with stylish comfortable furniture. My rooms were on the 7 floor( smoke free floor) , absolutely huge, comfortable bed and very clean. Consider the room decor rather dated but this was not a concern for me. My room overlooked the pool, back of Hotel and blissfully quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and served in a spacious dining room downstairs. Appreciated the variety of fresh fresh and bowls of nuts. All staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Unfortunately did not have time to swim but the outdoor pool was huge, I think part of the fitness centre attached to the hotel as many locals using the pool. Also an indoor pool and other facilities in the fitness centre- at extra cost. I walked along the Main Street outside the hotel and many small shops and apartment buildings used by local residents. Would definitely stay again if I was in Tashkent.
