Definitely a must for nature and cactus lovers. Although it is a private property, yet it is well maintained.

A must-see in Kalimpong with mind-boggling varieties of Cacti. A wide variety of cactus of different shape, size and patterns
can be seen. The nursery is within a well-kept compound. One can buy cactus plants also. The

1) The Cactus nursery is situated on a small road but has a large covered space inside which houses many varieties of cactus.
2) It has separate green houses for different varieties and all are very good. We had not seen so many varieties at one place before.
3) The plants are well maintained in natural habitat and identified with names & species.
4) Some varieties are also available for sale.
5) This nursery has an entry fee.
6) This is a must see for those interested in plants & nature.

It is immaterial whether you like cactus or not but one visit to this nursery will impress you to the core.
1500! Yes! There are almost 1500 varieties of cacti housed in this nursery from both the American continents. The nursery went to the length of installing greenhouse to mimic desert environment for nurturing cactus in otherwise cool climate of Kalimpong.
