This is was great place to stay and Iâll break down why I liked Hotel GS.
1. English speaking front desk, and they were very helpful with anything needed. Also a wonderful tourist map and breakdown of places to do by area with helpful directions. We used this daily.
2. We had the large family suite, meant for six but it was just four adults. It would fit 6 people easily and have room to get around. We all had space and 3 large beds meant everyone was comfy. There are 3 wardrobes but no dresser. The room had a kettle and small fridge, nice bonus.
3. The location was very convenient to the subway and bus system. We walked almost nightly to Street Food Street, the name on the sign, and had lots of food options for a very reasonable price, around 10,000 each. You could also walk to local tourist spots and Seoul tower without needing the subway. We found that we were able to walk most places and spent very little on the subway, which is super clean and nice! Also great street food nearby, try to find the Korean style donut made on the street, so delicious!!
4. Washer and dryer in the hotel! For 5,000 you could do a full load and dry it. There was only one set so check first to see if it is in use. But that was a wonderful feature to have. They unit was large sized so you could do a big load.
5. Breakfast. This is very simple, think coffee, toast, bananas, cereal, milk, hot water, tomatoes and cup of noodles. But if you bring from home your fav cereal or instant oatmeal you can add a lot of variety. I went to the store and bought yoghurt so I had protein options. Just bring your fav snacks and a few things for variety if you want. There is also a microwave there.
6. Clean clean clean. The hotel is very clean and there is daily maid service. The bathroom has soap and shampoo provided as well as some lotion and misc toiletries. The towels were clean and nice and changed daily.
And itâs in South Korea. We had such an amazing trip that I canât believe I didnât go sooner! We are all planning a return trip to see outside of Seoul. We were in country for 12 days and had plenty to see and do just in Seoul. The days ended early due to the cold weather and sun going down, but we were also tired at night and our feet needed a break. The museums are spectacular and all free. They have signs in English and free audio guides you can use, but have to leave ID for the audio guides so bring your drivers license from home so you donât have to leave your passport.
Everyone was very nice and helpful to us. Many spoke English and Americans are welcomed. There are coffee houses everywhere!!!! Hotel GS was a wonderful location, down an alley but you soon realize that everything is down an alley, and a fabulous home base for our daily excursions. It was reasonably priced and very clean!
Best bang for your buck!!

My boyfriend and I found Hotel GS on TripAdvisor a couple months ago and saw how absolutely affordable it was and also saw the great reviews. We stayed here for about a week and let me tell you we are so glad we decided to book this hotel.
We booked a standard double room and despite other reviews on here saying that the rooms were small, we thought that it was a perfectly good size with enough room to store luggage and such.
The room was super clean (which is the most important in my book) and there was room cleaning service every single day along with two complimentary water bottles every day. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and the front desk people are very nice and helpful. Floor was heated which was also great due to extreme cold in the wintertime. Location is also really prime because it is close to two subway stations.
All in all 10/10 recommend! If we come back to Seoul we will be staying here again.
Very pleasant experience

This hotel was great! Easy check-in nice clean room. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect rating is because I didn't know that I had to choose to include breakfast in our reservation until we got there. It wasn't that big of a problem though considering there is a convenience store right around the corner.

I stayed in this hotel for one weak, the service was satisfactory and the room was
nice and the TV English-language channels included CNN & The BBC.You may complement the offered breakfast by items you may buy from the near-by convenient GS-store. Location of this hotel is great as both the airport-bus-stop and the underground
station are very near-by.
Wonderful stay

The room is clean and comfortable. The room is not a very big one but a tiny one. Although we had three people and three big baggages, we could have enough space to open the baggage and to pack.
The staff are nice and helpful. We went to Busan in the middle of our trip but we only stayed in GS Hotel in Seoul. They helped us to keep the big baggage for two nights! This is really a great help to our trip. Also, when we needed any problem, they were willing to help!
The location of the hotel is good. It is near the subway station with three lines transition and also the airport bus. There is cafes, restaurants and GS convenient store nearby.
One thing to note is the hotel does not provide tooth bush and tooth paste. My friends forgot to bring their own so they needed to buy in Seoul. However, there are shampoo, shower gel, cream, etc. For other facilities, we are satisfied with it.
