The Hotel still with its Art Deco style old name Hotel Modern, across the front is the closest hotel to the station, but still just a short stroll to the centre of town.
The rooms are reached by lift and a nice wide staircase, are air-conditioned and clean with comfortable bedding and proper walk in shower with lots of hot water.
Our room was triangular shaped so a bit smaller and awkward than others, but had two windows, which when closed kept all the street noise out.
The only fault we found was a lack of towel rails and mould starting to grow on the grout between the tiles.
Wi-fi is strong and consistent.

The hotel is just opposite to the train station. The ducal palace, Place de la Republique and the cathedral are only a 10 minutes' walk away. There are some good restaurants, including Tomate et Chocolat, along the same street.
The room I stayed in was simple but spacious and clean.
The free wifi was fast.
However, the lift only functions from the first floor. You can't make any outgoing call from your room though people can call your room through a direct line.

The hotel is right opposite the railway station and on the crossing of a busy road. The noise level inside the room (on the 2nd floor) was so high I had to go out to a pharmacy to buy ear plugs. Pillows and bed are not comfortable. The elevator starts on the 2nd floor, so you need to climb one floor before taking it.
On the other hand, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast not bad.
