booked as our usual hotel under refurbishment ..What a lovely find as I have to go to calais regular for work I needed somewhere close to town and station,Perfect for everything really clean great staff quick check in ..very much appreciated due to all ferries delayed by hours or cancelled.Lovely atmosphere and bar really enjoyed it will definately be booking again on my return ..thanks guys for a great stay xxx

Small and cosy , clean , quiet. Great location just minutes wallk from many bars and restaurants. Friendly staff all speak English. Very reasonable price. Cant complain about anything. Free parking ample spaces.

We needed a hotel after a late crossing and found the Metropol, not big, just off the track, but railway. Small tidy and very helpful people. Rooms small, bathroom even smaller. Keep windows closed, the railway announcements start at 4.00am and they are loud!
Would stay again, good breakfast 10 euros. Good value for the night.

Have stayed a few times before. This time we had a room over the front entrance, and was spoiled by loud announcements from the nearby train station. Had requested a quite room with booking agency. Only a couple of tissues left in the box. Apart from this, very pleasant, and reasonably priced hotel in Calais centre. Very good 'old fashioned' bar area with leather chairs and good selection of spirits. Free parking opposite, plus secure parking on request.

This is a very nice hotel, don't be put off by the outside, inside the hotel is very nice. The rooms are small but very clean and extremely quite at night. The staff could not be more helpful. The only down side is there is no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms and the breakfast is quite expensive. Overall a very nice hotel, we would definitely use the hotel again.
