The hotel is next to the old terminal which is now an empty ghost terminal. You still need to walk through this unused building to get to the lobby. I prebooked/prepaid this hotel and when i asked for an airport facing room i was told it would be 50000rp extra! However my room was already allocated and it was the requested room. Their money making scheme didnât work this time.
The lobby and restaurant covers a large area but its a smokers paradise and it smells as such.
The room is large but filthy. Sheets were stained and the coffee cups not clean.The desk has an obvious opening where a fridge used to be , but now a useless space. The bathroom was dirty too, mouldy shower curtain, dirty foot mat, horrible mirror and a used earwax bud still there!
Around 7pm i went to the restaurant for dinner (only one other table was occupied) and although the drinks menu shows all kind of coctails and beers, none are available as per the general managerâs instructions. Choice of meals was limited but of acceptable standard.
Breakfast was another disappointment as tables were not cleared, staff difficult to find and all the hot food is local only, no western choices. I poured my coffee from the ready made pots but it was stone cold as the warmer elements didnât work. I alerted the staff and they then swapped the pot to a working element for the coffee to warm up! I walked out.
All together i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Free transportation to and from the airport but then again from my window next to the end of the runway from which I can see the aircraft take off and land it's not far. Surprisingly I never heard the aircraft and had a great nights sleep. No bacon and eggs here so enjoy local Indonesian cuisine. You will need to ask for eggs if you would like them for breakfast. It's OK for an overnight stay if you are in transit but not for longer. Its cheap and reasonable value for what you pay.

It's the nearest hotel available next to the airport, you can just walk. Hotel actually quite big. Big room too. But as everyone complained about, it's the smell. I don't think non smoking room also free from the smell. And lobby it's also quite dark. But for short transit it was quite OK.

Make sure you get a non smoking room if you are a non smoker and you don't a smelly room. Ventilation was not good. They do keep the place clean but the smell are still a problem. Free breakfast but nothing really great. Will be good for overnight transit. Make sure you get new clean towels. They had some really worn out towels that looks dirty and torn on the edges. They shouldn't be using them anymore. They should also check on the building maintenance to keep up with the quality. Not recommended for long stay.

This is very nearest hotel from airport. Clean, neat and really had a nice view which is you could see the airport, departure and arrivals aeroplane. Breakfast is delicious and had a nice view too. And the last, this hotel near to famous seafood restaurant in Balikpapan.
