We met the owner's uncle in the bus, I guess we've been lucky that day. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, the view from the rooftop is splendid. The room was very comfrotable, love the wooden furniture. AC and wifi were perfectly working.
The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Plus they make delicious food !
This is by far the best hotel we went to during our trip in India.
Thanl again guys and keep it up !

This little gem of a hotel offers the best night views for Mehrangarh Fort.
Following are intricate details.
Pros
- Good Location.
- Good comfortable Rooms.
- Amazing owner and super hospitality by them.
- Prices are indeed very cheap compared to the services offered.
CONS
- The staff at Hem Guest house need to be more responsible and attentive to the guests and pro-active. This has been a major concern for them after a chat with the owner. Hope they work on it soon.
Good stay at this family owned guesthouse

We travelled out of season so the place was empty, we were the only people staying there. The hosts were friendly and took care of us, treated us like we were part of their family. They have a nice view of the fort from the rooftop and henna tattoos can be arranged. Overall we had a good experience!
Not quite like in the pictures.

Though the owner was really nice with us and helpfull, the place doesen't look at all like in the pictures.
Compared to the pictures here, looks a way neglected, the bathroom small and dirty and the rooftop has an amazing view, but looks abandoned and old, with dirty tables and empty bottles of beers around.
There is no dining service, breakfast is poot and none of the activities promoted is still happening.
As situated in a narrow lane in the old part of the city, cars cannot enter (we are travelling with a driver). The guest house provide a tuc tuc service for lagguages when arriving (free) but we have been charged 80 rupees on the way back.
Couple tour to Rajsathan

While we were in Rajasthan tour, in Jodhpur, we stayed in Hem guest house. It's situated in Old Jodhpur city. In other words, in the heart of the city. Given that, you should expect very narrow lanes, where even one car struggles to find a way. But it gives you the feeling of being local.
Two brothers run this place and the name of the guest house is on the name of their mother. I had interacted with the younger brother Vipin and he was very friendly and open to suggestions and feedback. We had a long conversation in which we tried to fetch the local as well as Jain knowledge as much as possible.
You can get a good view of fort from the roof top restaurant. The cooks are very good and well behaved. They cooked everything fresh in front of us (probably due to less number of people or may be it's their way, can't comment) and we customised it the way we wanted.
They have converted their old house to guest house, so you can get a feel of proper home rooms and may not feel as you are staying somewhere by paying them money. So ultimately it depends on individual, whether one like to stay like a local or like a tourist in some hotels with room service and all that stuff. As far as my way, It wass a perfect stay as I like to be a part of local life wherever I go.
