Me along with 5 other friends had traveled to Wayanad and booked accomodation in a dormitory of Hiliya Resort. The good things first:-
1. Clean Dormitory
2. Clean common bathroom with hot water facility
3. Extremely helpful and courteous staff
4. The person manning the front desk too was a gentleman
5. Good Food
Things that can be improved
1. Lights near the activity area for cricket
2. Drinking water facility in the Dormitory
The would have had a wonderful time in the resort but the weather played spoil sport. We were expecting far more pleasant weather and were extremely disappointed.

Awesome experience....Beautiful and well maintained rooms with nature friendly surroundings...very pleasing management......If you are looking for rooms for decent rates with homely atmosphere Hiliya is an awesome choice.

If you want to really be one with nature coupled with a nice and cosy room this is the place to be. The surroundings are great, and the property is well constructed. Rooms are nice and clean,no insects or dampness inside the room which is usually the issue with being so close to nature. Nice vast area to walk and explore the surroundings with swings n all. I was truly impressed by the property and how well it is maintained.
The down side of this place is the food and service. You will meet a bunch of hotel staff who are not too keen on good service and the food is a big disappointment for which you will have to order 2 hrs in advance. It is utmost important that the management pays attention to this aspect as it is also not that convenient to go outside and have food as the place is a bit difficult to move in and out of frequently.

Just finished the trip with last minute booking to this resort ! The place location is awesome and rooms and neat and clean. Value for money !! But the major set back is management is not willing to serve you with eagerness!! Every time you order something they say you order it before, it takes two hours, there is a notice board in kitchen which says the time to order the food!! NOTICE BOARD?? how can one read a notice board and expect us to follow it. Are you running a hostel ??? The place so deep in south has an North Indian chef and he skills are limited to North Indian dishes.. donât expect more than this.
STINGY NESS of the manageing couple is awesome, the free breakfast which come with the package is actually least negelected.. same curry for both idly and puri.. Just bread and jam thatâs it !! At lest could have made some chutney. They try and save every bit possible.. if you are looking for last minute booking and place around this area concerns you .. use this or itâs a BIG NO FOR ME

I have stayed in three budget homestays in wayanad. So from my experience this is a really nice place to stay. They never compromise on their service. I will definitely visit again with my family somtime
