If you are going to Antwerp, I recommend you consider the Hilton Antwerp Old Town. Itâs right next to not one but two town squares and the Cathedral in the heart of the old town. You can walk to the main shopping streets and the hotel is within walking distance of the Central Railway Station - and I walked to and from the Centraal Station with a roller bag. Itâs definitely an older hotel but it has lots of charm, fits its surroundings perfectly and the staff were lovely. I got an excellent room - a full suite in the cupola, on the fifth floor and the room rate included breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to the action in Antwerp.

The hotel itself is located in a great location with plenty of places to visit in the direct area. Everything was very clean and our room was very comfortable. The hotel itself is very classy and service level of the staff left me very satisfied.

The hotel is located on the same side of the square as the Cathedral, but there does not seem to be a driving route direct to the hotel. There is a car park under the square adjacent to the hotel, which is used for hotel guests and tourists alike. We had to drive around the old town twice before we found it. The front desk were very accommodating particularly since our reservation was incorrect at first. Lastly, all of the sights are within walking distance from the hotel and if you are in need of caffeine, there are plenty of cafe's on the square including a Starbucks.

Out of the 3 places we visited Brussels, Brugge and Antwerp, I preferred Antwerp. It felt more genuine, more local and less touristy. The cafes and the food were great and it had an unspoilt outlook. It felt like we were blending in locals and enjoying the festive atmosphere. People were friendly and it had a great vibe.
There were lots of stalls and the skating rink was beautiful. By contrast Brugges had advertising plastered all over and was not so photogenic and picturesque.
In Antwerp it was also out side the food market which is a must.

Stayed here during the shopping season and utterly enjoyed the great service and good location.
The room was spacious and very clean ( have to mention we received an upgrade as I'm a frequent guest at Hilton hotels) and we enjoyed the executive room (only negative point were some guests seemed keen to empty whatever was on offer there, leaving little for other guests such as us - little the hotel could do about that)
We'll gladly return!
