Just wanted to say what a great night we had at an awards event earlier this week at this Hilton. Itâs a great location for teams travelling from across the UK. Menu included beef (which I expected to be disappointing if Iâm honest)... it was melt in your mouth - thank-you Hilton!
Great atmosphere, drinks service great - all in all fab evening.

Not sure if this hotel is under new management, but at every level, it was awful. Not enough staff at the bar or restaurants, when they do arrive to take your order, they are harassed and stressed. We always have a meal at the buffet restaurant in the evenings. The manager was very rude. The good offering was awful, and I struggled to find something to eat. I think the chef has definitely changed! The toilets on the ground floor by the bar are so tired and dated, and the toilets don't flush properly. The rooms could do with a facelift. Overall, not worth a penny. Management beware, just because your hotel is close to the NEC you can't get away with a poor show. Buck up your ideas, as you're loosing customers, and this is evident from a half empty carpark during one of the busiest shows of the year! You've been warned!

I attended a function in the hotel yesterday & booked a room - âdeluxe twin roomâ. Cannot understand what was âdeluxeâ - looked a basic room with 2 single beds. Room was clean, no complaints with that. Shower quality was poor as well. It cost £229 which did not include breakfast - that was an additional £15. We were put in an âoverspillâ room which did not look as nice as the actual restaurant - choice was more limited than I would have expected. Checkout was a long queue as well.
After the dinner last night, I ended up with a sore stomach & was sick. My colleague had also found a hair in her dinner.
We didnât want to make a scene so just left it, but would not return & room was extremely overpriced.
Bar service in the function was not great, prosecco @ £38.50 a bottle was horrible & limited drinks/mixers available.

Attended an awards ceremony here which was really nice. Good, clean venue and staff and food was really amazing! Very clued up on allergies and happy to accommodate. Big venue hall and networking area.

We paid for a standard room for 1 night - the room(s) were awful! The first room we were given was tiny, dark and dingy, ripped carpets, and it stank of cigarettes. The smell was overbearing so we asked to be moved. The 2nd room did not smell of cigarettes, but instead there was poo stains all in the toilet!! The room was also tiny, outdated, and battered - not what you would expect for a Hilton hotel. Due to the dirty toilet, I then went back down to reception (because both rooms had broken telephones) and put in a complaint. The man on reception was very rude and unhelpful and it was only when I asked to speak to his manager that he decided to âupgradeâ us to a newer room. The 3rd room was clean (no smoke or poo thankfully!) so we were satisfied, but it still isnât a hotel I would ever waste the money on again. Premier Inns are honestly so much nicer.
