Good hotel, nothing to complain. Clean and spacious enough rooms, friendly staff. Metro stop was nearby, from which youâre also able to go to the airport. Breakfast offered quite wide variety of foods.

We drove into Brussels from Wurzburg Germany during an epic snow storm that shut down flights out of BRU airport.
The one thing I learned about hotels in the city of Brussels, is that parking is at a premium....if available at all.
Since rooms were filling fast, with the airlines buying every room within miles, our choices were limited. We would arrive at a hotel, only to find out that there was no where to park. There are parking garages in the city.....but not particularly near the hotel.
This Holiday Inn is an oasis in the middle of the madness.
We called the Holiday Inn and the front desk promised us parking on the street in front, even as the hotel was full,...... as we booked the last available room.
Promise kept,....We parked on the street, right in front of the entrance.
The hotel has a limited menu restaurant and a small bar area. They were understaffed,...... due to the horrible weather. What little staff they did have, they did their absolute best to accommodate everyone. They did a great job......
The rooms are very nice and modern. It was very quite and the beds very comfortable. This place is newer, fresh and clean......It was he nicest of the "chain" brand hotels I've stayed in.
In warmer weather......The large park, one block over, would be a must to visit. I'd say it's conveniently located.....with access to the metro nearby.
Getting to the airport in the morning was not difficult at all..........

Close to the EC district and all the meeting venues, this is a clean and agreeable place for a short business stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was average at best.
Location means Ill use it again.

Small hotel. Bed rises in the middle and dips to the sides so you end up at the edge of the bed. Room not serviced and difficulty in getting it serviced. Highlight was the service ladies at breakfast- they were lovely.

The Holiday Inn Brussels Shuman is a good alternative if you have to stay in Brussels for some work in relation to the EU institutions. It is at the epicentre, close to the Commission, Council and EEAS - whichever is your pick. It is also near the public transport (including the Airport bus, the cheapest connection between the city and the airport). Convenience stores and restaurants (although better for lunch options than dinner) are a plenty in the vicinity. The rooms are small, but convenient. The bathroom was small but the toiletries were of a better quality than expected. I was also very lucky to have a room with a balcony (there are only 4 such rooms in the hotel, so better ask for it especially) at the back.
