Stayed for one night , in room 237, coincidentally also mentioned in a different review below. The heating must have been fixed as it was perfectly warm when it was turned up. The window is still full of condensation but the room was very comforsble overall
However, the breakfast made the stay, plates so hot you had to use a napkin to hold them, hot food, yes, hot food!!!, not the usual,cold English breakfast.
Very polite staff throughout and very clean.
A great comfy hotel.

We booked Saturday and Sunday night at this hotel while visiting my Father in hospital. Very sadly his condition deteriorated quickly over the weekend and we lost him early on Monday morning.
Throughout this very difficult time the hotel staff were excellent and could not have been kinder or more helpful. They arranged a room for us for Sunday night at very short notice, respected our privacy when we tried to rest and get some sleep, and were always considerate when we were arriving at or leaving the hotel very early in the morning or late at night.
We can't speak highly enough of the support this hotel and it's staff offered us under very difficult circumstances - thank you so much. We hope to return one day under happier circumstances.

Slow check in. Not the fault of the receptionist who was working hard on a complicated request, but disappointing when other reception staff were visibly around.
Room decent, and on the quiet side of the hotel away from the main road. No complaints here.
At check-in I had been told that dinner would be available until 21:30. Came down for dinner at 21:10 to be told by the barman that the kitchen had probably already closed as it had been q quiet night. When he checked they were still willing to prepare dinner, anf it was fine.
Slept well.
Didnlt have breakfast.

I will start with the good: The bed was amazing comfortable, the room it self was well equipped, nice big flat TV, carpet, well organized and clean. So was the bathroom, plenty of towels. Free parking space available as well, which was huge benefit as I had rented car.
There was free internet provided, which is fine, but the speed is very slow, so not suitable for anything more then reading emails and web. But you can connect more then one device (I had 3), so this is good.
Now the problem. The window was not sealing properly, so it was terribly cold in the room. I was visiting in January, so temperatures outside was around 5-10. In the room it was 19-20, even if I set the heating to the maximum. When I complained at reception next morning and came back from work in afternoon, nobody has touched the window as I had stucked one towel below the window to seal it at least a little. Then after I complained again, lady from reception said, she will try to increase the temperature remotely, which I guess she did, because it was a bit better, but still only 21 degrees. And sitting next to the window at the desk, I have not really noticed any change. Next day, they provide me with portable heater, but that was extremly noisy, so not usable even for watching tv, not to mention sleeping. I stopped trying after that, because I only had 2 more nights left. Just ask for room with different number then 237, you may get lucky.

Visited here for 2 nights stayed in a family room with 3 adults! Plenty big enough for 3 of us! 2 double really comfy beds! And very clean and tidy! The staff were very friendly and talkative! The breakfast was beautiful both mornings! It was boiling hot and lots to choose from! Would def stay here again! It's close to shops! And right off the motorway! Lovely hotel!
