It did not start well, when I arrived the hotel car park is situated on a Pedestrian Only area. No one warns you of this and I spent the next 10 minutes trying to gain access to the car park. On the road sign in smaller writing it states apart from access so you can drive on the pavement. When you arrive tired and in the dark the last thing you want to do is risk getting fined for driving on the pavement. Please warn guests.
Check in was a problem and the hotel was very average. I canât believe I am saying it but my previous nights accomadation at the Premier Inn Shrewsbury was a lot better. Perfectly good for a stay but just average for the price.

Stayed with friends. Gala dinner lasted for 4 hours not because of quantity of food but due to them taking so long to serve it. Asked three times for coffee which took 40 minutes. All the time load music playing from disco below. Room very nice but didnât have a cleaner on the 2nd day. Second night was a buffet meal which was mainly leftovers from the night before and could not have coffee only water. Think they need more staff!!!!!

Stayed for the christmas market. Price was incredibly expensive for the quality of the hotel, unlikely to visit tge market again because of this. Coyldnt even use my reward points which was very disapointing.

Stayed here 2 nights over twixmas. Great position on Brayford Pool. Rooms to the front overlook the pool, those to the rear can see the castle walls on the hill. Quick and friendly booking in and paid for very convenient parking to the rear of the hotel at the same time. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was equally spacious and spotless with a sensible-sized shower - showering without banging elbows is a good start to the day!
The hotel is separated from the waterfront by a pedestrianised walkway. This can be confusing when arriving - vehicles are also allowed for access to the hotels and restaurants on the front. There are various eating places on the front along with an Odeon cinema. A 5 minute walk takes you into the main shopping area.
Breakfast could not be faulted - a clean, spacious area overlooking the Pool and top quality food to suit all tastes - traditional English, Continental, low fat, high fat(!) all beautifully cooked and presented and served by the most polite, friendly and efficient staff you could wish for.
Overall, a great base from which to explore Lincoln and to get treated as someone special at a very decent price. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed for dinners during our stay. Another trip would certainly be in order to make sure the food is up to the standard of the breakfasts!

Pretty much what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Nice location with some where to park the car. 10 minute walk to the old town. Loads of places to eat around the marina. The staff were really helpful.
