Very good welcome. Given a room upgrade to an executive room on the second floor. There is no lift, which didn't matter to us, but might for others.
The bedroom had an easy chair, a large pouffe and queen sized bed, a TV and wardrobe, There was also a small separate sitting area with a sofa bed another TV mini-fridge, work bench and desk chair. Most comfortable.
We ate from the all day menu in the lounge area in the evening - good choice and good food. Breakfast was excellent with a good range on offer. The hot plate was replenished on a regular basis without having too much on display at once.

10 of us had a Christmas party here and I have to say after some very disappointing venues in the past I was thoroughly impressed with this lovely lively little place and the staff. Great job bringing the food out to all tables in the shared event room so everyone ate together. Provided drinks vouchers as part of the package to reduce the impact on the wallet. I would totally recommend to anyone looking for a good venue in the area.

shocking trying to book a room for my brother inlaws wedding how hard is it to book us in the room absolutely useless.

Came here for our annual christmas party and have to say it was one of the best nights, the room was decorated lovely and the food was great. The disco left a bit to be desired but it was ok. The management looked after us well and the two free drinks went down well too. Would definately book a party there again. The room rates were cheap for guests who were partying there and stopping over.

My room was far too hot and the temperature control was faulty. Only recourse was to open the window but being on the ground floor, I was concerned about security. The mattress needed replacement as it was misshaped. The bathroom was clean but no shoulder height wall mounted safety handles for accessing the shower in bath. It is really unacceptable for hotels to only supply safety handles for the bath. No soap except for squeezy bottles. Towels rather small and threadbare. The food at a private dinner disappointed and it was odd that the room was colder than the warm white wine served. The traditional Christmas food was about as well presented and appetising as your average NHS hospital. Not my favourite Holiday Inn - franchisee needs changing?
