Had booked the sister hotel the Pollentia late booking in October. When we arrived we were told we were staying at the Uyal as the Pollentia was closing early for refurbishment. I was disappointed at first as I have stayed in the Pollentia for many years. We were put in the annex. the rooms were spacious and had a balcony and seaview. The staff were friendly (some I knew from the Pollentia) and the service very good. The food was good and lots of choice. Have already booked for next year and would certainly recommend this hotel.

It seems such a long time since we returned from our second visit to the Uyal but is actually less than a month. We had a wonderful time yet again and it is hard to believe that a mere few weeks ago we enjoying all that the Uyal and the resort had to offer.
Our junior suite was really spacious and the bed was absolutely enormous. We really appreciated the convenience of both the fridge and the safe in our room and the use of bath robes and beach towels.
New this year is a spa with jacuzzi, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. All spotlessly clean and very quiet. A great addition to the hotel facilities.
We really enjoyed our sunshine breakfasts on the the terrace - definitely not an option once we were home! Great choice of both hot and cold food, omelettes cooked to order and delicious freshly baked rolls. The evening meals were also buffet style and were absolutely fine but not quite as good as last year. You certainly wouldnât go hungry though. The day we left we had a snack lunch on the terrace and it was really excellent and very reasonably priced.
The staff, especially the waiting staff, were unfailingly friendly and efficient. As soon as a table was vacated it was cleared and reset. We liked the fact that we were not restricted to a particular sitting or table for our meal. After dinner guests could get to know each other on the comfortable sofas (complete with blankets if you felt chilly) at the front of the hotel under the arches.
The beautiful beach is just a few yards away across a one way street. Remember to look both ways when crossing though as there were bikes galore on the bike lane. The beach was fairly quiet in October so no problem getting a sun bed. We loved feeding the fishes every day. We did miss the wee beach bar which is no longer there but the nearby Spar did sandwiches, cold drinks etc.
The hotel is at the quiet end of the town but it was a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the main part of the town and a little further to the Pine Walk. There is a Spar a few yards away and several bars nearby for an evening drink.
It seemed that the majority of the guests were there for a repeat visit - some had been coming for twenty years. We will certainly be amongst those visiting again and again.

This was our second stay at the Uyal, we love its location right across the road from the beach. The staff are vey friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and always immaculately clean. New for this year is the small spa complex in the annex, the garden outlook from the spa could do with some attention very sparse, however I am sure that will be done for when we go in 2018!!!

Smart, quiet beachfront hotel in heritage building with a deep, attractive terrace on two sides. Delightful in late October, and then good value. Private parking nearby. Excellent, varied breakfast and thoughtful âsnackâ menu at lunchtime. Fine beach just 50m away. Within walking distance of Port de Pollensa centre with its many restaurants and bars. Pleasant staff.

I had a very enjoyable stay in the Uyal hotel from 22/ 28 oct...the Uyal is understated and elegant,with tradtional majorcan charm..room 151 was very comfortable with beautiful views of the sea and lovely palm trees and garden..A luxury bathroom and spacious entrance with a small balcony made the room a very uplifting place to be. The terrace and pool areas were delightful and relaxing..There was an extensive buffet each evening which was excellent.It is amazing that the staff could maintain such enthusiasm for the guests after such a long season, they were so friendly and helpful..there are lots of chill out zones with a modern twist which blend seamlessly with the essence of the hotel. The weather was magnificent and without the summer crowds oct. is an ideal time to visit...the friendly guests who stay there add to the enjoyment....5 stars+âââââ to the hoposa group for maintaining such charming hotels.
