Positives were very helpful and friendly staff, good food, pleasant lounge and outdoor bar and pool and strong WiFi. Unfortunately let down by poor rooms that are in desperate need of renovation. Cannot understand why owners/management would let rooms fall into such a poor state of repair. Baffling when rest of hotel so good.

Me and my wife went to Makassar for honeymoon and decided to stay at this hotel. Apparently it the worst decision weâve ever made for our honeymoon trip. First, the bed and duvet covers werenât clean. We then asked them the clean one and we waited almost 2 hours and three times ringing to the receptionist for someone to come to change the bed and duvet covers.
Second problem were the AC is not properly working! They said that they were having maintenance. It had been like this since 3 days!
Next, our room was near the swimming pool, which was a nice view and perfectt for the honeymoon if not because of the noise of the live music (in the 11 night!).
Finally, the hotel is quite old and some of the interiors are really old. The breakfast was not as you would expect for a four-stars one.
The positive thing about this hotel is although the staffs are quite slow in handling things, theyâre quite polite and nice.
I would never come back to this hotel again!

It is an old hotel. My room door was old and maybe almost broken. Had to try several times to open the door.
The rooms were dirty. My first room, I can smell other people's odour on my pillow... Horrible!! And I saw candy wrapper on the corner and a fake eyelash stuck on the toiletries trap.
Second room, still old. Shower becomes weaker and weaker by the day (I stayed 4 nights), the last day. Almost no water came out. Didn't have the energy to argue as we were checking out, just wash my face and leave.
The security and front desk (males), like to stare at females. Obnoxious!

Most of the Hotels try to serve us as a best guest in their property to get "customer satisfaction". Every people will get their own experiences when staying at hotel. Every people are most welcome in their property. when we reviewing place to stay, comment for cleanliness and food taste is become common things. Another side I get in this property are warm hospitality from the staff. They care about "guest condition" and trying to serve us as best as they can. During my trip for business in Makassar, I feel unwell and have to go to the clinic. When I back to the room to take a rest, one of the hotel staff knocking on my door and give me fruit and tea as compliment. I also get a card wishes "get well soon". What a warm hospitality I got? Oh, that was so touching my feel. My special thanks goes to Mr.Erwin Ticoalu as the FOM. My best wishes for you and Horison Ultima Makassar member.

We stayed here for 6 night. The restaurant is great, the menu are so variable then we could try different menu everyday :)
The staff are so warm helpfull and so welcoming.
There is live music at 3rd floor near the pool every night.
But what make this hotel a great choice is, its near to any attraction and local restaurant. We can walk nnot more than 15 minjtes to any direction. Losari Beach, Sup Konro Karebosi, Karebosi Square, Mandala Monument, RM Lae Lae, warung Cobek Cobek, Somba Opu Gift Street etc.
Could be an option to stay here again when visiting Makassar
