We read the reviews, we looked at the pictures... and it all looked lovely, as lots of hotels do. But itâs not until you arrive in reception and the team gently unburden you that you realise that this hotel is a bit special!
After your journey youâre welcomed and assured that your needs will be catered for.
At first, a little sceptical as I always am after staying in many hotels. But we arrived 3 hours before check-in and we were told that it wouldnât be a problem. As we sat in the bar and enjoyed a fresh juice our cases were taken to the room and we were escorted up.
Attentive, warm, polite staff that will do anything to help whilst not making you feel awkward, and a building thatâs able to provide all the comforts you need.
We took a walk around the area by the hotel and only after realised that within the slow 30 minute wander we took weâd seen 4 of the 10 top things to do on trip advisor.
Back at the hotel we had chocolate brownies arrive at the room in the afternoon, which was a lovely surprise, and when going out for dinner the staff were happy to recommend local places to visit.
We both booked in for spa treatments and we were not disappointed! The massages were off the scale! My partner is pregnant so was a little worried but appeared with a huge smile and plans to go back every day.
My massage was without doubt one of the best Iâve experienced, and I too will be visiting again.
The rooftop spa/pool is heated and clean, and a great place to relax. If youâre lucky itâs not hard to get it all to yourself for a few hours.
Our visit was in a premier room with breakfast included. The rooms are clean, modern and generous space and storage. Tv/dvd player and lots of nice touches with complimentary bits (chocolates/toiletries).
Breakfast is fantastic. Itâs not too busy that itâs like mess-hall. It caters for all, and itâs good quality food/drink. Everything is fresh, and the catering staff monitor what needs topping up, when they do they make little and often. So you know itâs all freshly prepared. Plus you can order off the table menu if you want something more than the buffet. Theyâll happily offer more, unlike some places that just want the tables turned around quickly. So you can stay and relax with no fear of the staff removing your plate before youâre finished.
Weâre extremely happy we chose this hotel. Given that we only booked the flight and hotel the day before we arrived it really has been a great experience and a pleasure to stay in such a fine place.

Very warm welcome and some great features like the pool which was great for relaxing. On the down side I was given two small single beds even though travelling on my own which I didn't find very comfortable. I didn't enjoy the breakfast, lots of cheap meats, bland cheese and some tepid warm food such as scrambled eggs. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and the hotel had a nice ambience.

We stayed here for a four night stay. Its a lovely hotel and definitely a five-star European gem.
Staff are friendly and chilled. Standard rooms are open-plan style and have everything one needs. We would prefer more British TV channels though.
Location is perfect, in a quiet street. Lots of places to eat & drink within 200m.

I booked a little New Year getaway for myself and my husband and we stayed for five nights at this lovely hotel. From the minute we walked in the door on arrival until the time we left, every member of staff we encountered went out of their way to be friendly, helpful and were clearly passionate about ensuring your stay was perfect. The attention to detail was also great, for example the welcome glass of cava on arrival to ensuring they asked how many minutes I would like my boiled egg cooked for. A lot of hotels can feel soulless and impersonal but not this one. Location is great, right at the centre of things. The road that the hotel fronts on to can be a little noisy, but we still slept very well in the super king comfy bed!
Just to be helpful to others, you can get the C6 bus from the airport for a few euros each and it runs every 20 minutes. We got off at the stop at Plaza Puerta Del Mar, right by the marina/beach and the hotel is literally a five minute walk across the road from there.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to others :)

This was our second stay at the Hospes and we returned to find the same warm welcome and friendly staff offering us a welcome drink, Our room was large and roomy with a Juliette balcony looking down onto the street excellent glazing kept street noise to a minimum. Our room was spotless with tea & coffee plus water provided everyday. A large bathroom area with twin basins, shower and bath combined,separate toilet and lovely selection of toiletries replenished daily. Breakfast was superb with excellent choice of both hot and cold dishes made to order, juices, Cava, fresh fruits,breads, rolls, smoked salmon, selection of cheeses and cold meats it really was difficult to choose. The hotel is very central and close to all the amenities there is a pool, roof terrace and bar gym and beauty salon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate in recommending it.
