diissability unawareness big.access bad very small bathrooms. The solution for the hostel will be: try to provide the free coffee, improve the locker height, No seat inside the bathroom, it is so dangerous when the floor is wet, very slippery.

And at 1h, a person wanted my bed because they made a mistake and give the bed at two person. But good for the shower, clean and the water was hot. two star because the girl at the reception was very nice.

The personnel are unfriendly and false.
There is no kitchen to cook and you canât drink or eat in the dining room because they rent it to a bar. The bar is very expensive. There are only a microwave and a fridge but where can we eat?
There are 5 floor, you can use the lift but it doesnât work all the timeâ¦and itâs very filthy.
About the rooms, beds were very bad and there is not enough locker per person. Finally, you hear the noise of the street and of the neighbourâs room.
The youth hostel try to win as possible money. Be careful! Firstly, when we arrived, the bed was broken, at the end we werenât pay back for the guarantee because of the broken bedâ¦
Secondly, donât pay by cart, there is a supplement of 5%!
Thirstily, the personal will be liar to save their neck.
There are too many bad thing to recommend this youth hostel. So, if you are looking for a youth hostel, please look for another one, you will be disappointed!
Adam & Vitor made my stay :-D

I checked into Sun and Moon hostel due to accommodation problems with Airbnb. I was pretty shaken up when I arrived and Adam was really good at booking me in quickly, giving me all the information needed clearly and making me feel I was in a safe place. I really appreciated Adam being friendly and helpful, taking time to make sure I was ok and had everything I needed. His colleague Vitor was also really lovely, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. I didnât like it so much when they werenât on shift! Other staff members on reception seemed moody, uncommunicative and lacking in the customer service skills required for their role. This is why I'm giving a 3 for service.
The dorm room I stayed in was for 8 with one bathroom to share and a separate basin in the main dorm room. It was clean enough, very basic and had very limited space. The lockers were good as they were pretty big. The good thing was it was quiet outside at night.
I think it really comes down to who else you are sharing with and what you want out of a hostel stay. The first 2 nights were quiet people and the last night it was party animals.
The amenities downstairs were ok. Thereâs a nice big space there. Plenty plugs to charge phones etc. TV AND music always on at the same time was annoying. There was a fridge, microwave but not very much space to prepare food. The breakfast they serve in the mornings is very basic but was ok â good to have something to get you going!
The LOCATION is EXCELLENT. Next to La Ramblas and so close to the beach and the metro to take you anywhere.
Bed Bugs and Incompetent Staff
Jayden B on 12/08/2017 22:10
BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE.
After my second night at the sun and moon hostel I had contracted an infestation of bed bug bites all over my body.
The rooms in the dorm are absolutely tiny with 6 people crammed into a space that is sufficient for two. We knew the rooms were small based off the reviews we read before arriving but didn't quite realise how small the environment was.
The bed bugs I caught were from a guy staying above me in the top bunk that arrived that day, however the issue lays with how the incompetent reception staff and appalling hostel manager handled the ordeal.
When I noticed I had bed bug bites all over my body I was at a swimming pool off premises.
As soon as we saw how my body was covered head to toe in bites, I called the hostel to fill them in immediately as me and my travel partner wanted to cancel and get a refund for our third night.
However, the male English receptionist at the time was giving attitude like it wasn't his problem and frankly didn't care. I asked that the manager be on the premises when we arrived back at the hostel that evening to resolve it with her.
When we arrived that evening, the manager had to go home due to "roster reshuffling" but were told she would be at reception at 8am the following day by an alternative Spanish male on reception.
This guy was completely incompetent, pretending to call the manager on the phone in front of us, then when we asked to speak to her he would hang up or walk away from the desk.
He then went on to say that "refunds are against the hostel law" and if we wanted to try push any further to get the police involved, which was a bizarre response as we just wanted a refund to get the hell out of the place. All he was told he could offer was a partial refund of â¬25 just to me. Due to no last minute availability we had to spend the night with a "few free" sheets (cost â¬2.50 each). Lack of a response or any action was co ceding as they didn't change the sheets, remove the mattress, get cleaners in to do a once over the dorm or notify the others in the room.
In the morning we weren't suprised to hear that the manager had prior commitments and was coming in late, arriving after our check out. Completely ignoring us and fleeing from her responsibilities.
Also a few things to note, every morning and night there are 40-50 kids in the communal kitchen and seating area. Really odd and gets on your nerves and staff don't warn you about this.
Wifi hardly works and certainly doesn't work in the dorms, there is absolutely no atmosphere, staff are lazy and make you feel like a burden.
As a whole do not stay here. Pay a bit more and get yourself into Kabul Party Hostel, you won't regret it.
