I have seen many type of hostels but this one was worst of them all. When I arrived they didn't have any only female rooms left even though I paid a bit extra for it. Also why I wanted one was confirmed when I walked upstairs to my room people were cat calling after me.
I know hostels go by the people who are staying there with you but this one was so wilthy and I had to lay on top of my clothes as I didn't dare to touch the bedding. The room was full of stuff, totally too small for the amount of beds there was and the bunk beds didn't have stairs to climb up! You had to somehow push yourself up from the bottom bed.
Also there was no plugs in the room and that's one thing that I am looking for after a long day travelling, to charge my stuff.
Toilets were probably never cleaned and the seats were broken in half of them
You could here the noise of the traffic but that's quit common in London and this one is close to public transport which is great however still I wouldnt never step in this hostel again.

Bit drafty and there is noise from the street/other guests but that's to be expected from a backpackers place in London. The room I stayed in was clean enough, staff were very helpful to me when I locked my keys inside one night, and the toilets are cleaned daily. I'm a 5'1 19 year old girl traveling alone and when I checked in I was reallocated to an all female dorm free of charge as the reception noticed my designated room was 100% men, which I thought was a nice touch.
The location is next to a cemetery but its easily ignorable especially as its also directly across the road from a tube station. Its also incredibly cheap to stay here despite it being in zone 2, rather than 3 or 4.
There is a key deposit of £10 and only one shower per room, so probably not for self conscious people. You also don't get towels and must bring your own. The rooms are much less unpleasant than the corridors and staff make the beds for you. However I'd recommend this to anyone tight on money - it's only 75 metres from a tube station directly into London, very good value for £11 a night (a bed, a clean room, heating, wifi, and the bar/cafe/TV room) and staff are incredibly helpful and understanding in my experience.

The location is quite far from everything but at least it's close to public transport. Cleanings is truly aweful, and the equipment in the kitchen is definitelly not fancy, but if you're looking for a cheap and unpretentious accommodation, that's the right place

You get a bed, roof over your head, shower, bathroom, kitchen and a room to lounge in, all for a very reasonable price.
Can't really complain.
My only issue was with the wifi. The room we stayed in down towards the very end had no connection to it. Otherwise a very good place to stay for backpackers as the name suggests

Faeces on the toilets, broken tiles at base of toilets, stand on them and urine comes through the cracks, rooms dirty, no hot water. Felt unsafe, one staff member just walked into my room. We were moved from top floor to 2nd floor due to hot water tank being broken. We were then asked on two different occasions why were we in the new room?. No communication between staff. Extremely noisy at night, people marching up and down on the laminate flooring, noise from the street. Door locks not safe; did not sleep for 4 nights, awful experience, DO NOT STAY HERE. Terrible experience.
