We went to the Hotel Abad at Fort Kochi Road recently. I must say that the staff of the hotel were helpful and good in nature.
Food which was served was also very good including the breakfast. But the appearance of the rooms were very poor.
The maintenance of the rooms were not up to the name and standard of the Hotel.
Electrical points were insufficient.
No proper tea coffee arrangements were made in the room. Cleanliness of lobby area was lacking. A/c system was old fashioned and not even mentioned how to control the temperature.
It was not a value for money stay for us. Found the hotel tariff over priced. Other properties of Abad seems to be more standardized than this one. Unhappy with the property. Happy with the staff.

Was greeted by a dismissive and unhelpful gentleman at the front desk who checked us in.
Communal area for the included breakfast is void of ambiance and atmosphere, feels like a noisy roadside cafe which isn't the enjoyable holiday accommodation we hoped for.
The rooms smelt vaguely smokey and were becoming shabby, but were big and had excellent comfy beds.
They don't have all the facilities that they describe on their website.
Wifi works well so that is useful but having stayed around the area previously there are far better homestays for better value than this hotel. Might be ok if only spending one night as a stop off.

The public areas of the hotel are perfect, modern and clean.
The Pavilion restaurant was excellent, the food, service and ambiance were all of a very high standard and compared favorable with most much more expensive hotels we have stayed in.
The one thing that prevents an overall rating of EXCELLENT are the rooms. The hotel building is quite old and although everything was very clean the room fittings were tired and a modernization is really needed. The staffing levels of the hotel are excellent and attended our every need in a timely, polite and friendly manner.
The location of the hotel is over 2km from Fort Cochin but a tut tut only costs 100rs/-, but we enjoyed walking there through the local streets. An advantage of being a little away from Fort Cochin is the lack of touters that pester the more touristy areas.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very well looked after in every detail and can highly recommend this hotel

Wonderful Christmas cake counter and delicious food and reasonable rate in this locality according the standard . The rooms are newly renovated and rate are not too high . Specially staff awesome they are treat us like as family ,special offer âGrand Thaliâ and , They near Fresh fish shop âwild fish â, âyou buy we cook âthat very good concept we always trying that mouthwatering experience at all

We were part of a thirty group travelling thorough Keral and stayed in two other Abad hotels, Harmoni in Kovalaam and Copper Castle in Munnar, and this hotel fell below the level of service. Towels were worn out and needed changing. Shower was very close to the toilet and hot water didn't come. No tea kettle for tea. On first evening meal we were given meal in non air conditioned small hall that doubled as aafetria. Limited choice of food. Salad plate was just sufficient for five people. Chuppities weren't replenished. During breakfast the toaster had plastic sleeve on its lever missing thus a safety hazard. The one and only toaster for thirty ! At one point the toaster nearly staretd smoking. A small choice of breakfast menus. Our departure was scheduled for 4 am and we were given two pieces of breads with butter and jam and two small banks however black tea. No milk was provided. Staff were helpful and polite. However they seemed unhappy with the poor facilities. Surelysenior managers of Abad group know the poor state of hotel and drab experience its provides. Please do not go ti this hotel.
