Our group was on a road trip and we needed a room to crash for a few hours in lucknow. So we decided to look for a place on the route and booked this place based on positive reviews on mmt. The location is good. Right behind Novotel. Our first disappointment was the absence of parking. Although the hotel maintains they have car parking, but the same is on the service road and without any shade in sight. We had reached at noon and were shocked to find no covered parking. The security did offer to clean the car though he was quick to clarify that it would be on paid basis. The people at the reception retained our ID proofs and insisted that they would have it sent to the room upon taking a copy, but that didnt happen until we checked out ( this shoudnt happen). the rooms are poorly designed, black interiors but look rich in the photos. The linen was not clean and very shabby. The latches and doors were in a bad condition as though it was broken open more often. We ordered a biryani and for almost Rs 350 per dish, it was exorbitantly charged taking advantage of the fact that there are few options but at a walk-able distance in the sun. The food was average. The saving grace was the AC which functioned well to give us the comfort of a few hours of well deserved sleep after driving straight from Bhutan.

We spend one night in the Hotel. Check in was at 10AM so that we had to stay in another room till 12AM. The location is very quiet. The room and the bathroom were clean and the beds comfortable. Because we were 3 people we needed a extra bed. To get it we had to remind the staff three times before we got on. The breakfast was OK.

Amanda Hotel is not on the main road, may be some 200 mtrs for main road, Behind Hotel Magante... Room was OK, bathroom was clean, Vehical parking in front of the hotel on the road. It provided place for our driver to sleep which many hotel dont provide in Lucknow...

Visited Lucknow on a business trip. My clients booked Hotel Amanda for my stay.
My stay was very short one. I checked in in the evening of 28 Jan 2016.. and checked out by 6.45 in the morning.
Let me explain my experience during the very short stay.. just to sleep. Once i checked in and my mobile is out of battery life and also my power bank since i was on drive for over 12 hours.... i tried to charge my mobile.. and it is a hard shock that the power points did not worked, the charged is not fitting properly in the socket and in the room there are only two power sockets and one in the bathroom. The sockets were loosely fitted, to my surprise my charger did not fit in any one and i went without power in my mobile. I approached the desk / counter and requested the person to charge my power bank for me, which requires atleast 4/5 hrs. of charging and i went into my room and tried to order Water bottle for that i had to call 4/5 times then i got the water.
The intercom was switched off after 11 at night. and when i got up at 5 in the morning and tried to check whether i could get some hot coffee.. but the intercom is swithced off and of no use...
Then i tried to take shower... to my surprise... there is no hot water .. just imagine in that cold i had to take cold water shower.... if at all had to complaint .... no one to answer.... the intercom is switched off...
Then i went down to the counter and i checked that the person is sleeping... the security guard sitting there woke up the counter person and to my utter shock... they did not put my power bank in charging....
I asked the person to prepare for checkout.. and i went into the room, packed my bagpacks and tried to call the counter... the bell rang but not answered... then i took my bagpack and came down, i saw that the counter person is sleeping again... i woke him up and asked to prepare my bill.... i paid the amount and checked out of the hotel.
WITH A PROMISE that never i get into this one... and i told my client that never book this for me and in fact for any one.
The condition of bath room..... it is not clean... and appealing...with lot of dirt marks and untidy.
i did not eat anything in the restaurant attached in the hotel.... because i did not had time to visit there, so not able to comment about the restaurant and the quality and taste of the food.
To summarise .....
Beds are good. TV remote does not work properly. Power sockets are loosely fitted and hard to use. Water warmer is not clean. Bathroom is not clean.
Better avoid staying in this hotel instead of going out with bad memories.
I really feel very bad to give this bad review, but at least my fellow travelers will get some good idea about the hotel. And may the hotel people take some measures to improve the amenities to the satisfaction of the guests.

Brilliant location, pretty great service, fantastic restaurant and cheap prices. Main issues were lack of consistent hot water and poor wifi and one iron for the whole hotel. Otherwise I would recommend for price, comfort and safety. Staff will help out with requests; one staff member was not helpful.
