Very pretty hotel

We stayed here one night after arriving in Nicaragua. It was about 30 minutes drive from the airport but when we arrived it was a nice little hotel and the staff were helpful and kind. The kids enjoyed the pool and when we saw the hotel gardens in the light of Day they were beautiful! Beds were clean and quite comfortable. We had a nice breakfast in a gazebo in the garden before we were transferred back to the airport in the morning. Our driver, Mario, was great! We would return if we stayed in Managua again.
Above and beyond!

Great place to stay! Clean bright rooms and nice and quiet! The garden was also beautiful. The owner of the hotel went above and beyond for me. I wound up with pneumonia and he personally drove me to his family doctor to ensure I was well taken care of. He speaks great English and ensured all our needs were met. Management was also great, telling us where to eat and what to do during our short stay. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if I'm ever back in Managua!
A Nice Overnight Stay

I stayed at Angel Azul for a quick overnight in Managua before heading down to San Juan Del Sur, and I found this cozy little hotel to be just what I needed. I had a windowless room, which I actually didn't mind since I was just there to sleep. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was incredibly helpful and nice. I was most impressed with Mario, the manager. Before I left the States, he lined up an airport pick up for me that was prompt and the driver courteous. Mario also helped me get set up on a night tour of Masaya Volcano. It happened that the day I would arrive--which is when I would also do the tour--there was to be a national celebration blocking the road to Masaya and making that tour impossible for that day. Mario let me know before I left the States that my tour was cancelled and why and helped find a different opportunity--a guided tour of old and new Managua--instead. That tour was fantastic, and I learned more and saw more of Managua than I would have had I not done the tour. Mario was just as helpful and kind in person as he was in the many email exchanges we had prior to my trip. He also let me know that the neighborhood was one of the safest in Managua, but particularly due to evening celebrations going on while I was there, it was best for me (a single woman) to not be out walking around on my own once it got dark, which I very much appreciated. If I ever get back to Managua, Nicaragua, I would stay at Angel Azul again.

New management, very friendly and helpful (as we couldn't find a taxi, the general manager drove us himself). Clean, good and quite location. The garden with the pool is perfect to relax after an exhausting day. We'll definitely come back!
Pleasant experience

Staff and food are great! Beds uncomfortable and bad WiFi connection, must check mattresses for bugs, location is hard to find, but is safe and relatively close to the shopping Mall Galeria Santo Domingo
