Most horrible stay in Surat

My stay in Surat with Hotel Balwas turned into nightmare, let me explain how.
I was traveling for a business trip with my colleage and decided to stay in hotel Balwas and booked through Oyo app. Upon reaching hotel I requested reception to provide me a twin beded room which they refused by saying not available today however they never honored my request during my 3 nights stay. Upon entering my room I realized room is so small and not value for money as it had no window and ventilation and top of that AC was not working. We spent first night somehow and for second night we requested for change in room and reply was they don't have room and the most horrible situation begun when at every 30 minutes electricity gone and we could not sleep whole night, we called reception atleast 30 times but no once heard.
I strongly recommend not to use this property for stay whatever your budget constraints are.

Had the most horrible and humiliating stay with OYO \ Balwas at Surat
Giving you a brief of humiliation that we went through on the Saturday night 19th Aug 2017. My Mother in law suffered from a heart attack and she was asked to shift to Surat at Sunshine Hospital at the earliest, we came to Surat in an ambulance and got her admitted and were looking out for rooms close to the hotel to stay. The one we looked up on the OYO site was the closest to the Hotel so we booked Hotel 47.
When we reached the hotel the guy who would speak with AAP and full tehzib asked for our id's proofs to which i gave mine and told him i will check with my wife sitting in the car and give it to you once we are done with the formalities, but my friend wouldn't go ahead without it and started telling me about the policies and procedures. I checked with my wife is she had an id on her to which she said since she left in an emergency she did not carry her wallet and the id is at home. I went to the reception and told the guy she doesn't have the is but we will mail it to you as soon as we reach home till then you can have my wedding invitation card which i had on the phone, his response to this was yeah to âkisi ka bhi ho sakta haiâ. Then i showed him my wedding album in my phone with 200 pics and to this he says âaap photoshop bhi kar sakte hoâ.
I told him he can speak to our parents and confirm to which he says how do i trust they are your parents. He was insisting that its OYO policy to get a marriage id provided by the government proving that we are married. Does OYO actually thinks that government has started proving marriage id for married couples but anyways he says it was OYO policy and he canât do anything about it. We got married on 16th of May 2017 m i supposed to carry my marriage registration certificate with me to prove that we are married. Anyways I showed him my Wife's Ration card which does not have a pic of her on it but is still a Government provided document till the time i don't get her photo id but he still wonât budge and said âaap kisi ko bhi apni biwi banake leke aouge hum kaise maan leâ. Like seriously I would get someone to sleep around with in a 999 room hotel and furnish all the above mentioned docs. IS OYO serious? I had lost it by now my wife came and requested and he says âaap log kya karne aaye hai hume kya pataâ. I told him we had provided only one id in Amritsar how did the OYO policy did not get implemented there to which he says this was Surat and the laws are strict here. Is the OYO law different in all states or OYO thinks that some states its easier t break laws Why would he throw his weight around saying this Hotel belongs to the Balwas?? Since it was 01:00 in the night at an unknown place with a medical emergency at hand after my wife begged to him were given room. I called up OYO first thing in the morning explaining the same but it didnât help. We were allowed to check out after a promise to mail the id. Never expected OYO to treat us in such a humiliating manner. OYO team kept calling and apologizing but there correct resolution for the issue just a plain message it wonât happen again.
Very insulting not acceptable at not. Not expected from OYO \ Balwas.

I stayed here for 2 days with my office mate. We chose this hotel as it is nearer to my office place where I have visited for. We had here pleasant and satisfactory stay here. Rooms were with all amenities and were well maintained. Also, corridors place outside the room was neat and clean. Overall, good budget place to stay.
Worst Hotel In my life

I was staying for 4 days....This hotel don't have his fooding facility. For tea and breakfast he want to pay in cash as they have the electronic machine. He gives me bill of his hotel but don't want to accept payments through online. In the time of demonitisation how i have arrange more cash to give them. ..... Hotel Manger is very rude, he did't know how to talk with a guest....as he is representative of his Hotel. I have a worst experience for these guys... I never recommended to anyone.
