Staff including hotel GM has dubious business practices - repeatedly tried to over charge me. What was committed to us over phone versus actuals charged were different, GM disowns whatever employees commit. Rooms are clean and restaurant food is good. But restaurant charges are 2-3 times of comparables. Seems to be surviving purely because of traffic Tirupati gets.

One of the older hotels in Tirupati quite popular with travellers. Quite clean and comfy,decent rooms. The restaurant in the basement is more on canteen lines and is simple. Food is good, the snana,bhaturas were popular. Service decent.. An hours drive from Tirumala temple

Bhimas Tirupati evokes a flood of memories as it used to be our preferred destination on visits to Tirupati during my childhood
Visted the hotel in Dec 2017 after several years - Was saddened to see the state of neglect and apathy
Had booked through MMT and found out that the hotel got ~60% of what I paid MMT and the treatment was also quite "step motherly" - refused to extend checkout by even 1 hour - I had to rush back from the darshan to ensure 12 noon checkout (despite checking in only at 2330 previous night).
The rooms were large but clearly not well maintained. Its time they started charging more for the rooms and maintained it in good condition so that loyal customers like us would stay there for the nostalgia
The restaurant is truly truly amazing though - The veg thali was probably the best I had in a very long time - Kudos to the restaurant and the staff

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night last week and our experience was horrible. We were given a broken room with keys not working. We were told that the keys would be fixed in 5 minutes but no one even reverted back to us. I went back to the reception next morning and enquired why this was not fixed. We were told that the room card keys wont work and they knew about it beforehand. They gave us a manual key to enter the room. I was expressing my dissatisfaction and the lady in the front desk told us that we only paid 2100 rupees which was a flat out lie. We paid around 2700 rupees. They also prevented us from having a free breakfast as advertised. This is rudest staff and a pathetic bunch of people I have ever seen. I should not have ignored the reviews on tripadvisory. BIG MISTAKE!!!WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Good rooms, bad restaurant

We were four family members, booked two rooms. Had a very comfortable stay. Good rooms. Front office staff was very helpful - especially Mr Basha. But the service at the restaurant WAS HOPELESS. Though food was good, the Captains were totally INDIFFERENT. Looks like they are working in this restaurant to give a bad impression to the customers and spoil the reputation. Very delayed customer service. Had break fast and dinner. Both the occasions, I had to loose my cool, seeing their service. .
